Astro Blogger’s Meme

Lynn Hayes, Astrodynamics blog, tagged me with this meme.

1. Pick up the nearest book (of at least 123 pages).
2. Open the book to page 123.
3. Find the fifth sentence.
4. Post the next three sentences.
5. Tag five people.

And at the time I was reading about Lynn tagging me, contrary to my usual habit of moving my laptop to my kitchen table before booting, it was still on the desk near my astrology reference library. The closest book was Stephen Arroyo’s, “Astrology Karma & Transformation” by chance. When I followed the instructions I ended up in the section dealing with Venus-Uranus Aspects. Since I am frequently looking at charts for compatibility/synastry readings and most of the people who come to me have an interest in astrology, not too surprisingly Uranus is often a key planet in their charts. Just another wonderful little synchronicity in action . . .

Here are the three sentences:

“The partner may get the message: “I’m bored with you. I don’t have any need of your presence.” And hence, people with these aspects are in effect eliciting rejection or forcing the partner to go elsewhere for deep, personal affection. In some cases, a person whose chart has one of these aspects manifests extremely self-centered, insensitive behavior while simultaneously complaining that “Nobody loves me”.

This is a fun, simple meme to do, so I am going to tag Devil Mood, leslee, Chrispito and MM. (Yes, I know that’s only four people but being a good Uranian type myself I have to bend the occasional rule . . .) 😀

  1. whew. you didn’t tag me.Now that was an interesting aspect — which one was that?welcome back, kiddo. missed ya.

  2. Hi there! Thanks for tagging me. I did this meme once or twice before so I will do it here in the comments box, if you don’t mind. We bloggers can’t afford to repeat ourselves very often when there’s an audience to care about ;)Let me go get a book.I’m going to go with Arroyo too, but in “Astrology, Psychology and the 4 elements” :)The theme is: Over Emphasis on Air & Fire – Lack of Water & Earth – who fits in this category? Anyone? This type of person has theability to put his ideas into action and the capacity to gain aperspective on the meaning and implication of his actions. Thedanger with this emphasis is that the person will live in his headand in his aspirations and thereby neglect the emotional depthand physical needs from which he could derive inner resources’This type is known for a keen sense of humor, an optimisticapproach to life, and often a marked verbal ability.

  3. I’m laughing at your passage and of course now wondering who it applies to? 😀 (meaning: which aspect)Hope your weekend getaway was memorable! xoxo 🙂

  4. And of course, having a healthy dose of Uranian myself (and Uranus in Leo no less — grabs the mic and steps into the limelight!), I will do this even though I was not tagged! :-PPeople who have sex with an infected person within ten days of the time that person developed symptoms must be treated as contacts to the infection and receive medications for treatment, even if they do not show symptoms. The symptoms usually disappear within a week or two, although scarring can remain after treatment. Treatment failures are common in people with HIV or others with poorly functioning immune systems, and those with HIV may require additional courses of therapy.~laughing~Does that fit my Pluto (sex; life & death) in Virgo (health) in 7H (relationships)? 😀

  5. Now that was an interesting aspect — which one was that? That applies to Venus/Uranus aspects . . . though the more extreme behaviors would likely be the result of the conjunction, opposition or square. My Sun & Moon are trine Uranus but my Venus is trine boring ole Saturn . . . :-DWhich may have some thing to do with why I’m such a homebody too . . . ::grin::

  6. Hi there! Thanks for tagging me. I did this meme once or twice before so I will do it here in the comments box, if you don’t mind. We bloggers can’t afford to repeat ourselves very often when there’s an audience to care about ;)ha! so I’m not the only one of your cyberfriends who suspects you have lots of books lying around handy! :-)Lots of Stephen Arroyo fans around here too. Love his dispassionate, kindly approach to astrology. As to Fire & Air only, I have seen a couple of charts like that. some of the babies born in the last couple of years had charts heavily weighted to one element or another. Remember that stellium in Scorpio Fall 06? whew . . .

  7. Does that fit my Pluto (sex; life & death) in Virgo (health) in 7H (relationships)? :-DROFL!!! Yup!! Jane, you crack me up!! 😀

  8. Remember that stellium in Scorpio Fall 06? whew . . .Do I ever. You should see the chart for my first day of work on 11/13/06…. and with Pluto on the ascendant! Yipes! No wonder that job has completely transformed my life. I feel like a rag doll that Pluto is tossing around at this point.Glad you’re back. I need to buy more astrology books!

  9. Ooh thanks for tagging me and that excerpt hits a little too close to home for comfort, Neith. I’ll definitely do this, but it might not be straightaway … busy, busy. That’s what happens when Mars and Mercury finally turn direct :-).

  10. No wonder that job has completely transformed my life. I feel like a rag doll that Pluto is tossing around at this point.Yeah, sounds like Pluto at play to me! In fact, all the outer planet transits can leave us feeling we are so not in charge. :-DThe two Stephen Arroyo books I have on the sidebar on my synastry blog are both great plus the one Devil Mood commented on is really, really good for learning about the Elements. Here in the last year I’ve found myself returning to looking at the Elements more & more.

  11. Personally I had a really good power period in that Autumn 🙂 I felt very alive and in love. No wonder really…

  12. Ooh thanks for tagging me and that excerpt hits a little too close to home for comfort, Neith. I’ll definitely do this, but it might not be straightaway … busy, busy. That’s what happens when Mars and Mercury finally turn direct :-).Absolutely no hurry with this! One of the beauties of blogging is the flexibility. Hope you are feeling happily busy and productive now. I’m hoping Steve Judd is right about March and the better part of 2008. Some forward momentum and flow in my days would be much welcomed!!

  13. Personally I had a really good power period in that Autumn 🙂 I felt very alive and in love. No wonder really…LOL! There is NOTHING as wonderful as being in love to feel alive! Though I have very mixed feelings about the whole experience in the larger context . . . 😀

  14. all the outer planet transits can leave us feeling we are so not in charge. Yah, tell me about it. Just got some serious bad news today. :-(Every time I get back up on my wobbly legs, determined, I get cut down at the knees again. I don’t know why I bother getting up at all. I don’t know why I bother even breathing. Today’s bad news? Will have repercussions for the next 18 months.I’m back to Square Zero. And feeling extremely dejected. Can’t win for trying.

  15. Today’s bad news? Will have repercussions for the next 18 months.{{{{{Jane}}}}}Very, very sorry to hear this . . . 😦

  16. (((Jane)))The tag…Uh oh! It was an Escher picture book, LOL! Okay, I’ll try the next book (one with words):14 Lessons in Yogi Philosophy by Yogi RamacharkraHere are the 3 sentences:”The Sympathetic System includes all that part of the Nervous System located principally in the thoracic, abdominal, and pelvic cavities, and which is distributed to the internal organs.”It controls the involuntary processes, such as growth, nutrition, etc. under the supervisionand direction and the Instinctive Mind.”The Cerebro-Spinal System attends to all the seeing, hearing, tasting, smelling, feeling, etc.”Hmmm! Food for thought, Neith, Thank you!
