Usually I like to publish my lunation posts about a week before the event but in the case of this Full Moon at 7° 22′ Aries on 29 September 2012 08:19 PM PDT, I felt we all can use more time to assimilate its impact. Uranus in Aries closely conjoins the Moon thus creating a T-Square with Pluto in Capricorn and the Libra Sun. Volatile!
Before you decide to hide under the bed for the next two weeks leading up to the Full Moon, I will start off talking about what I feel to be mitigating aspects, OK? Firstly, Venus, Libra’s ruler, is still enjoying its stay in Leo and is supported by a bracing sextile from Saturn in Libra. Saturn counsels using tact, decorum and going with a more tasteful appearance rather than Venus in Leo’s usual wildly dramatic choices. By the lunation Mercury in Libra will make a waxing sextile to Venus in Leo, always helpful when sitting down to talk things out with your loved ones.
A far more exciting aspect is the waxing square between Venus in Leo and Mars in Scorpio! Venus-Mars squares are good at creating sexual tension and this one is hot, hot, hot. Have you ever been deeply attracted to someone but had serious reservations about the whole thing at the same time? You just know if you act on your attraction it come back and bite you but damn, it might be worth it? Scorpio is drawn to Leo’s ability to generate immense energy. Leo is ruled by the Sun, after all. And Leo is intrigued with Scorpio’s aura of sexuality that promises so much. Romances started under this influence tend to burn hot and fast but also turn quickly to ash. Just saying . . .
Jupiter in Gemini can be considered a loose cannon though it does make a VERY wide trine to Mercury in Libra. Perhaps this will bring a touch of humor to our conversations. Undiluted Jupiter in Gemini brings a cheerful, chatty presence to the house it is transiting, encourages conversation on a wide variety of topics and lightens the mood.
A gentle, sweet, nurturing aspect is Neptune in Pisces trine to Ceres in Cancer. Cancer brings out Ceres’ more maternal side and we may feel the need to “mother” our loved ones with kindly gestures and favorite foods. I am inclined to see this one as more atmospheric and hopefully will soften the harshest rhetoric and allow us to be more sympathetic to others. Those with the Sun, Moon or Ascendant at 0° in the water signs will benefit the most from this trine.
Moving on the cardinal T-Square . . . it won’t take much to fan the flames and push folks over the edge under this influence! Whilst this powerful cardinal punch may prove useful for more retiring sorts who need help standing up for themselves, if you have a short fuse to begin with it might be bad news. Take stock ahead of time to identify your hot button issues and if you want to avoid tromping all over other people’s feelings (that Moon-Uranus conjunction), make a vow to hold off responding until a day has passed. Often that’s enough time for us to cool down and decide whether or not it’s worth it to risk damaging our relationship.
As I’ve watched the Uranus-Pluto square unfold over the past couple of years, it has become clear those most affected are those whose Sun, Moon or Ascendant has been hit by this transit. Next greatest impact was to Mercury, Venus and Mars. And of course having those planets and the Ascendant in the cardinal signs (Aries, Cancer, Libra and Capricorn) made one a target. The next year’s group of degree points will be 8° to 12°. All of you with personal planets and ASC from 0° to 7° in the cardinal signs may heave a sigh of relief ‘cause the two bad boys are done bothering you!
Libra relationship issues are up for review with the Sun, Mercury and Saturn in Libra. Are your one-on-one relationships fair and equitable? Is compromise an integral part of them? Do you treat one another with respect? Please remember seventh house relationships included all committed relationships such as business partners, lifelong best friends, counselors or open enemies/worthy adversaries. If any of those relationships come up short, we may be in the process of ending them. Ending relationships with grace is underrated but necessary. After all, why leave enemies in your wake if you don’t have to? This will be very challenging due to the volatility of Moon conjunct Uranus in Aries. Do your best anyhow.
In many ways this Full Moon in Aries marks the end of a difficult season which started with the New Moon in Aries in March 2012. We have been fighting the cardinal battles over the intervening months and matters may finally come to a head under the Full Moon conjunct Uranus shining light into unexpected corners. Time to haul out our patience and tolerance because we’ll probably need them in the aftermath of this tumultuous lunation!
On a personal note: Saturn in Libra conjoining my Sun is probably the single most potent aspect for me. I’ve felt like I’ve been under his thumb for quite some time and whilst there have been many productive moments, Saturn does weigh one down. Ready for the changes Saturn in Scorpio will bring . . . I think. LOL
The cardinal T-Square continues to funnel energy into my chart via my natal Jupiter in Scorpio. Be VERY glad to get a break from this one.
In the plus column, is Mars in Scorpio conjunct my ASC and about to roll into my first house. This one always charges me up!
This is really helpful for me to know. I recently got into some trouble with Mars going over my Mercury…lol. Thanks for the tip!
Welcome AA!
Great! Always good to know . . . 😀

I have Mars transiting my 12th in Scorpio about to cross my AC into the 1st house…. same as you. I hope this has a “charge up” affect for me too. More than that, I’m counting down the days till October 5th.

Unless you have something like Saturn conjoining your ASC natally, Mars crossing it usually is good for a lift in energy. Something those of us undergoing Saturn’s last pass to the sun need about now. Mars will be entering Sagittarius on Oct 6, the day after Saturn enters Scorpio. 🙂

Hi Diane
Thanks for the heads up.Saturn in my fourth square my 27 Cancer asc and pluto right on my 7Cap moon in the 6th and uranus right on my Midheaven opposite my 9 Libra Sun. I am going to leave town and stay clear of all family. Thanks for the warning.God bless us all and this country with this uranus square pluto. Especially the Cardinal sighns.
Shirl
Hi Shirl,
Saturn in my fourth square my 27 Cancer asc and pluto right on my 7Cap moon in the 6th and uranus right on my Midheaven opposite my 9 Libra Sun.
Steering clear of family sounds like a plan. After all, no one knows the buttons to push like our nearest and dearest, sad to say. 😦
Take care!

Well, with this one’s little Mercury and Mars being tickled by this cycle, I will be keeping my thoughts and comments to myself (as best as I can at any rate).
Hey Pixie!
Well, with this one’s little Mercury and Mars being tickled by this cycle, I will be keeping my thoughts and comments to myself (as best as I can at any rate).
Me too . . . though having a Mercury in close-mouthed Scorpio in the 12th does help me with that. 😀

Hi there Diane!
Thanks for sharing your thoughts..I’m 11th house Aries sun (sitting tight between Uranus and the full moon on 30th), with gemini asc!I can’t depict how pressing these times have been and still are…Moreover, at the time of the full moon, Mars would have just crossed over my natal Uranus (!) and natal Moon (both 6th house), Venus just have passed natal Saturn and the libra Sun only two degrees after my natal NN. and some other aspects! Now that is worth living trough, isn’t it!Some thoughts on this? 🙂
Hi
My dob is 20 march 71 1.55am London.
My sun is cusp of Pisces and Aries, Moon and Rising in Sagg.
I have a uranus trine jupiter aspect around the time of this full moon and wonder how it may affect me and just what to expect?
