Observations: Musings as Saturn prepares to leave Libra

© Ron Cameron

Tomorrow Saturn arrives at 29° Libra and begins the final countdown to Scorpio on 5 October. As it does I’m preparing for the final pass over my Libra Sun and as usual, it feels like it has been a very long haul. Saturn has a way of stretching time out rather than compressing it like Uranus does. *grin*

At this time in my country we are in the midst of election season and the electorate is almost evenly split. This phenomenon has been growing ever since Saturn entered Libra in October 2009 and in the summer of 2010 when we saw the first major cardinal T-Square with Uranus in Aries and Pluto in Capricorn, this effect intensified. Optimist that I am I believed people would be able to enter into a spirit of compromise but instead the divisiveness increased until we reached the almost complete stalemate of the past year. I am very, very curious to see what will unfold once Saturn enters ruthless, pragmatic Scorpio who is noted for not tolerating foolishness. Given Scorpio rules the eighth house of other people’s money (read “taxes”) and transformation, measures will be taken to break the stalemate. One thing I’m reasonably sure of is there will lots of unhappy people . . . on both sides. Libra often strives to please everyone whilst Scorpio is capable of choosing to protect the most vulnerable at all costs. We’ll see!

Living with an Aries who’s Sun has transiting Uranus hovering within a degree or so has been interesting lately. Yesterday he gave his current employer a piece of his mind in front of me! Justified to some extent as the guy has not shown up or communicated in a timely fashion plus he has serious prioritization issues. However, I winced when my Aries referred to the man’s wife as “that”. Yes, she totally dominates her husband and screws with what my Aries sees as needing
to get done before snow flies but geez. Control issues surfacing all over the place . . . Pluto in Cappy is currently transiting my husband’s tenth house. We’ll see what the fallout is from this over the next week or so.

Now I need to get back to work before the next interruption strikes. There have been so many I’m almost used to them. Saturn feels heavier now and I’m feeling my responsibilities keenly. We still have a great deal of smoke here due to the local wildfires, causing a sensation of weight on my chest. Why would it not surprise me to see this clear out for once and for all when Saturn enters Scorpio! We’re due for a shift in weather patterns starting sometime next week.

How is everyone doing out there? OK? Or is there some part of your life demanding attention?

  1. “…I winced when my Aries referred to the man’s wife as ‘that'”.

LOL! Why am I sensing he could have said worse?

Awesome, I never know what’s gonna come out of my mouth either. 0:) But I reeeally need to be pushed to get to ‘that’ point.

    XOXO,
    Deb

    • Hey Deb!

Yes, he refers to her as the “bit*h” in front of me. LOL Hey, he has Jupiter conj his Mercury in Aries and when he speaks his mind, just about anything can come out. Usually he is better when talking to clients though . . . thankfully.

But I reeeally need to be pushed to get to ‘that’ point.

That’s good! Only time I shot my mouth off is after a drink or two and since I don’t drink anymore, I do pretty well. 😀 If I’m really & truly pissed it shows anyway. The Scorp Rising “Look”, ya know.

  2. Strange– I am dealing with a contractor who sounds just like the employer you’re describing. I am soon to bring his ass to small claims court if there isn’t any movement forthcoming.

Wondering if you will be sharing observations on Neptune hovering at 0 degrees Pisces, per Michael Lutin’s Daily Fix…

    • Hey Joe!

I am soon to bring his ass to small claims court if there isn’t any movement forthcoming.

Good luck!! I’ve known the man my husband is working for for years. He had/has serious “mommy” issues. Loved his mother but dang she was controlling of her children. And, as is often the case, the guy up and married his mom! 😀

I love Mikey Lutin. He is very good at getting his point across with whatever it takes. LOL Heck, I didn’t realize Neptune was back to 0 degrees again.

The Blue Fog Machine in the Sky strikes again! 😀

  3. I just want Saturn gone from my sun sign. However, it goes right into my Scorpio 12th house along with the North Node.Does this mean secrets and behind the scenes until Saturn crosses over my AC to more responsibility or if I catch a break, a re-birth?

    • Hi Linda!

I just want Saturn gone from my sun sign. However, it goes right into my Scorpio 12th house along with the North Node.

Same thing happens to me and the last time Saturn was in Scorpio in my 12th was fine. I was living in San Diego, working in a public library (institution) and working with a great physical trainer. By the time Saturn crossed my ASC, I was in the best shape of my life. My whole life revolved around training. I walked/ran, did yoga & breathing exercises about 2 hrs a day, 4-5 days a week. We’ll see what happens this time.

Remember the 12th house is ruled by Pisces & part of the “suffer or serve” axis. Good luck! 😀

  4. Everything is so much better now that I am done with three Saturn squares, an opposition and a conjunction! Phew, what a sludgey trip that was!

    • Hi Pixie!! 😀

Everything is so much better now that I am done with three Saturn squares, an opposition and a conjunction! Phew, what a sludgey trip that was!

Scrape off the sludge and run like the wind!! 😀 You have been through it all right! What are you planning on doing now? Something fun?

BTW, I pulled The Empress today. Put a big smile on my face. 😀

  5. My favourite card!!!! Besides Strength of course 🙂 Umm plans. That IS the question the last few years. I plan what I can, then the family tends to run all over them. I will send you an email right now. Still trying to keep the juju nice and pretty 🙂

  6. I e-mailed you almost a year ago and we have similar aspects i.e. Venus in Sag in the first for one. That said, I was planning a to take my workouts to the next level and began changes in my diet. Moved from the East to the West Coast and planning a bit of re-structuring to the neck and above. Sounds like I’m making plans for that Saturn to cross my AC in a few years.

Say, are you getting to enjoy Venus crossing your Moon now Saturn is on his way out of Libra? 🙂
There is something about Saturn in Scorpio for Scorp Risings that helps us stick w/personal improvement plans. Perhaps the awareness of how quickly one’s conditioning can slip away . . . 😛

Do you like living on the West Coast? Hope it’s some place warm and sunny.

  7. I am a Capricorn Rising, and so I have enjoyed having Saturn, my ruling planet, in an exalted state in Libra. I am feeling a bit anxious about what Saturn’s transit in Scorpio will bring… A metamorphosis in some areas that need to be shaken up?! I have Natal Moon, Mercury and Neptune in Scorpio. I wonder how the legendary Scorpionic penchant for secretiveness will affect me?
    Well, onward I march.

Your last comment says it all . . . keep on marching forward. 🙂 I can see Saturn transiting your Scorpio planets are increasing your natural tendency to keep things to yourself. I have enough Scorpio so I don’t see this as a bad thing! *grin* With Cappy Rising you are probably always aware of the importance of maintaining a good public face and know the value of silence.

  8. Since my Aries bf has Sun at 28 and Mars at 28 Cancer, Saturn can’t be gone soon enough for him. Saturn wiped out all his energy with a nasty cold. He’s a little skeptical of astrology, but was very happy to hear that this transit will be over and gone very soon!

My main issue is Neptune’s long transit at 0 Pisces directly opposite my Mercury. At least it won’t come back to that point again (of course will station opposite my Venus/Pluto at 2 Virgo, sigh). Lots of vague doubts and worries. Still recovering from a very upsetting client issue after a mistake I made some weeks ago, though that *seems* to be resolving (clarity of communication from this client has been awful from the beginning – Nep opposite Merc?!). Trying to get rid of toxic client and other toxins before Saturn hits my Jupiter and Neptune in early Scorp, which aren’t likely to be good for my confidence.

    • Hey Les! 😀

Heh, I don’t mention astrology to my Aries at all . . . LOL Hope yours recovers from his nasty cold soonest.

Getting rid of toxic client sounds like a good plan to me. With the Neptune-Mercury transit creating potential miscommunications, one less to deal with would be good.

You know it’s possible Saturn conjoining your natal Jupiter-Neptune (which are sextile your Mercury-Venus) may turn out better than you think. Saturn is very helpful for containing the worst of Neptune’s wild imaginings and may help you with staying clear and focused. By the end of October that one will be done & over with this time around as Saturn will only return to 4 degrees. 😀

  9. I have to agree with Diane’s comment regards Saturn assisting Neptune to stable ground. Whilst Neptune was trine my Sun, I had the inspiration but whilst Saturn was busy with everything in my chart, nothing was going anywhere of course. However, when Saturn lost contact with the last lot of work he wanted to do in Libra, an opportunity arose from the Neptune inspiration, that is practical, doable and will be a valid career step.

  10. Yep, I have natal Moon,Pluto, and Mars in ninth house Leo. That house is my salvation. Saturn in Scorpio will give me determination and structure. I do well with those ideals.

Nope, I live in weather quirky San Francisco. I have learned to dress in layers, but no snow or air-conditioning, thank goodness.

  11. hi…all of you know so much about astrology, i really am a baby in this matter…and i’m always overwelmed (sorry, if my english is not so perfect-I’m portuguese). we have talked before 🙂 i was born in mozambiq on the 15th october 1960 and my ascendent is scorpio. well, saturn left libra and enters scorpio…how and what should i change, that i didn’t changed yet? please, please, tell me…

  12. Saturn in Scorpio will be interesting to see and will likely be different from the last few years. This new feeling of peace and balance is now becoming clearer as one season fades into another. Even though it’s the month of Libra now, the worrying and stress of the last few years is also fading into a more graceful and easy going nature. Personally, I think Saturn is entering Libra as things are beginning to fall into place at last. The last few years were very worrisome and uncertain. We tried to perfect things the best we could and hope for a brighter future throughout our challenges. The recovering American economy is a good example. We wanted a better future and tried our hardest to make things right to see that dream realized. All of this sounds very Virgo to me instead of Libra. More and more I’m seeing the realization that today’s astrology is more accurate from the sidereal perspective. My best friend is a Scorpio, and all his love and character is very Libran at heart as Scorpio today is becoming the real Libra. My other Taurus friend is very Aries with a high burst of energy that’s hard to explain; life is one big adventure for her, and there’s soo much to do. I feel more Virgo than Libran at times, and my Scorpy friend helps bring the Libra in me out more. Soon we will begin the Age of Aquarius officially (between now and the next 500 years give or take?), and one day it will make more sense to subtract one sign from our signs to better understand how we really think. In 2200 years tropical Libra will become Leo in the Age of Capricorn eeek! lol and in another 4400 years or so we become crabs haha – it’s interesting to think about for shizzy 🙂
