Flowers for an early Valentine's

After the dizzying energy of last week, life calms down in the week ahead. Mercury and Mars in Pisces leave off drowning in Neptune’s seas and tormenting Jupiter in Gemini, driving us all crazy. Now those two will harmoniously connect with Saturn in Scorpio and Pluto in Capricorn.

Late Monday, Mercury in Pisces is sextile Pluto in Capricorn to the benefit of both planets. Pluto in Capricorn has wonderful organizational skills which is something this rather drifty Mercury is badly in need of. This is an excellent aspect for gently teasing information from your unconscious you may need to come to terms with your dark side. Right brain types will fare very well processing data retrieved under this influence because they are generally more open to non-linear thinking and know how to allow information to gradually come into focus. Needless to say, all creative types are going to love this aspect.

The most potentially painful aspect of the week is Mars conjunct Chiron at 8° Pisces. Pisces is sensitive to nuance and with Chiron’s sense of extreme vulnerability to contend with, the possibility of feelings being hurt unintentionally increases dramatically. Mars tends to be reactive so what we may end up with is hurt, angry people lashing out. This can happen to even the most mature of us, so please count to at least ten before taking action.

Something that will help everyone keep their cool and their mouths shut is Mercury in Pisces trine Saturn in Scorpio on the same day Mars conjoins Chiron. Saturn in taciturn Scorpio helps this mutable Mercury stay focused and therefore less prone to wild flights of fancy and imagined insults. This is a GREAT aspect for doing the necessary work to produce wonderful works of art, writing or music.

Later in the week Mars in Pisces will first sextile Pluto in Capricorn on Friday and then trine Saturn in Scorpio on Saturday. I love these two aspects! We can settle down and get to work under these influences. Earth and water sign folk are going to be much happier now.

After all the Jupiter inspired adrenaline rushes of last week, it will be good to be able to work steadily and productively again . . . unless you happen to be addicted to crisis! For those of us who prefer life at an even keel, this week looks far better!

You are one of those who enjoy a good crisis now and again, Aries, so you might be disappointed with the more laid back energy this week. For one thing, you need to take care of those mundane tasks you dropped running around in emergency mode.

I can hear you heaving a big sigh of relief this week, Taurus, because you truly do NOT like dealing with the unexpected. You are probably very grateful your partner or significant other has been so graceful under pressure, ready to offer aid when needed.

Yeah, Gemini, it’s back to boring old routines this week but like it or not you do need time to catch your breath and deal with work related issues in a steady, constructive manner. Hey, at least you ought to be able to sleep better!

There may be more exciting changes in store on the career front, Cancer, though the pace should be far less frantic now. If you have new learning opportunities offered to you, please consider taking advantage of these as they could prove helpful later on.

You are another who probably enjoyed all the drama last week, Leo, especially if you were right in the middle of it all. Now it’s time to come back into reality and attend to various financial matters in a constructive way. It’s possible to do so now.

Enjoy the feeling of your mind coming into focus this week, Virgo. Hopefully your life will be much less stressful and you can get a great deal accomplished. Your partner may be feeling feisty and overly sensitive though this will improve by the weekend.

Your need for peace and harmony in your daily life, Libra, means you will like this week’s tone far better than last week’s. Your partner may still be dashing around, excited about this and that but not to the point you could cheerfully strangle them! LOL

This looks to be a very, very good week for you, Scorpio. You can shrug off last week’s volatility and general craziness and get back to doing something constructive. If you have creative projects in the works, those will come together now.

Yeah, yeah, you loved all the recent excitement, Sagittarius, even if your home life was crazy with your significant other’s antics. Now that things are settling down some, maybe it is time to get back to doing something about your cash flow?

You too should have an excellent week, Capricorn. Your need to feel you are in control of your life won’t be tried so hard. Look for positive creative input from near relatives and close friends for a change. Your ability to communicate effectively looks good too.

Time to tone down the more extreme ideas, Aquarius, and go for the solidly productive ones. You had fun throwing out some amazing concepts recently, mostly to shock people out of their complacency. It worked! Now implement the best ideas to restart your career.

Are you having fun yet, Pisces? Is your family still speaking to you? Thankfully the pace this week will be less frantic, allowing you to stop and take a deep breath before deciding what you want to deal with first. Be gentle with yourself.

If you know your Rising sign, read the horoscope for it too. 😀

  1. Woo! I told Eve to “Zip it.” this morning. I told her she is verbally abusive to me and to stop it. And she did shut up in the car for at least two minutes. And then she stopped telling me how pathetic I am and talked politics.

A victory for a Pisces. Cuz you KNOW how we hate confrontations. Always oblique and indirect is our motto.
