This is the last week of Sagittarius season and I know I’m not alone in hating to see it end this year. Having the Sun and Mercury in optimistic Sagittarius for the past couple of weeks has been great but alas, the end is in sight. By Christmas Eve, both the Sun and Mercury will be in reserved Capricorn, so all you fire and air signs out there better soak up the fire enthusiasm while you can.
Two planets station this week: Uranus in Aries goes direct on Tuesday and Venus in Capricorn retrograde on Saturday. The Uranus station occurs on the Gemini Full Moon and Venus stations on the Solstice adding a little something extra to both events. Planetary stations mean a planet pauses on one degree for an extended length of time. Uranus will end up spending six weeks at 8° Aries whilst Venus stops at 28° for a paltry two weeks. If you have personal planets or Angles at either of those degrees, you are probably already aware of it. Uranus in Aries will be slow in getting back up to speed but since it is Uranus, there is a very good chance we’ll see some side effects sooner than later. Venus retrogrades often turn our focus inward and taking time to contemplate what is truly of value is never a mistake.
If you want to know the difference between positive thinking and wishful thinking, Monday’s inconjunct between Mercury in Sagittarius and Jupiter in Cancer will be happy to teach you. The first helps us see the potential for good and the second can wreck havoc on budgets and the truth. Be careful to respect the reality of your personal financial situation when buying holiday gifts.
The Full Moon in Gemini with the Uranus station on Tuesday is the noisiest event of the week. It kind of depends on what information has been deliberately withheld from your nearest and dearest. Hiding Christmas presents is one thing but lying about a fling with a person at work is another. It really is easier to practice being honest as a matter of course than attempt to remember who you told what. Lunations on the Gemini-Sagittarius axis are known for spreading any and all information far and wide.
Once the dust settles after the Full Moon the remainder of the week is quieter. Wednesday and Thursday the Moon is in Cancer and subject to her usual moodiness when bugged by Mars in Libra, Uranus in Aries and Pluto in Capricorn. These are simply moods and will pass quickly. The Solstice arrives on Saturday along with Venus in Capricorn’s station and we all need to start mining for the gold in the earth of Capricorn. Good exercise for me who has been enjoying the fiery sweetness of Sagittarius!
The urge to move forward with plans that you’ve had on hold could hit you hard early in the week, Aries. You have plenty of enthusiasm and all but you may end up finding out you weren’t given all the facts. Be cautious.
Best spend this week reviewing financial issues and making sure your ideas weren’t too extravagant, Taurus. What sounds like a fabulous plan on Monday may not be looking so hot by the end of the week. Prepare to retrench if necessary.
You are in your element the first part of this week, Gemini! Discussions are lively and jumping from one topic to the next . . . right up your alley. It will be easy to over commit yourself and if you do, you will probably regret it by the weekend.
Keep an ear out for rumblings of changes in the offing at work, Cancer. Those may be awhile manifesting but acknowledging those are coming is better than pretending otherwise. You are one who will appreciate the calm, sweet quiet moving in this weekend.
Go ahead and enjoy yourself this week, Leo, as long as you bear in mind the party is going to be over soon and if you have overextended yourself, the piper will be paid one way or another. Time to get reacquainted with a healthier lifestyle?
If there is anyone more ready for the noise level to subside than you, Virgo, I don’t know who it would be. Dealing with pressure from both your work and family matters this week won’t be fun. Hang in there! The weekend brings relief.
As much as the last few weeks have been fun and exhilarating for you, Libra, you may be beginning to feel the need for a less strenuous pace. Once the noise level drops late in the week, the need to reconnect with your roots may emerge.
You might be tempted to splurge on some vacation time early in the week, Scorpio, but I’m betting you will choose to take a pass on that for now. Knowing what you can and cannot afford is very important now. Contemplation appeals on the weekend.
What can I say, Sagittarius, you have had a great run this year but you knew going in this was a temporary bash. You, in particular, need to avoid promising more than you can deliver on Monday and Tuesday. Reality returns with a vengeance this weekend.
Much of the noise and excitement swirling around others has probably not affected you all that much, Capricorn, other than occasionally messing with your daily routines. This weekend marks the beginning of your turn to shine, so brace yourself and enjoy the attention!
If anyone is able to sense what the winds of change are blowing in ahead of time, it is you, Aquarius. When you are out and about the first part of the week chatting up your peers, please sort the valuable bits to share with the rest of us.
It wouldn’t surprise to learn you are another who is feeling rather overwhelmed by demands from all side, Pisces. Thankfully this week should see some stability begin to return to your professional life. Maybe allowing you to finally focus on holiday plans?
If you know your Rising sign, read the horoscope for it too. 😀
