The dynamic drive of having cardinal signs ruling the sky is now history and adjusting to the difference is causing many of us to feel a great deal of frustration. Mercury left cardinal Cancer for fixed Leo on July 31 and we’ll start to notice this even more. Mercury in Leo is not shy about airing opinions after all and when it conjoins Mr. Big Mouth himself, Jupiter in Leo, over the weekend better grab some earplugs.
We typically see shorter periods of time when one mode dominates due to a concentration of the faster moving planets in one sign but it is the planets from Jupiter on out that create the real backdrop. We had become accustomed to a strongly cardinal feel for the first half of this year because Mars spent seven months in Libra. Since Jupiter was in Cancer, Uranus in Aries and Pluto in Capricorn, we were over-supplied with cardinal energy and adrenaline addicts everywhere LOVED it! Now we need to readjust to a different pace instead of charging ahead, guns blazing, we need to slow down and take our time!
Until the inconjunct between Saturn in Scorpio and Uranus in Aries finally starts to separate on August 10, it will continue to wear on those who have personal planets/Ascendant in either cardinal signs or fixed signs from 15° to 17°. This aspect has Saturn putting on the brakes while Uranus frantically attempts to gain its freedom. I doubt if there are any winners in this instance . . . just plenty of discomfort. The Leo planets will start showing up in support of Uranus in Aries over the next month, intensifying this battle because Saturn in Scorpio will be squaring those planets at the same time. This situation may seriously drain reserves and may be very hard on immune systems. If you are dealing with this transit, make sure to stay with a healthy routine which includes plenty of rest.
The time we spend in the fixed signs (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio and Aquarius) allow us to consolidate, rest up, reevaluate and prepare for our next leap ahead. For the next while Leo is the major influence with Mars and Saturn in Scorpio keeping it in line. After all the pushing and shoving to get ahead, there are plenty of loose ends to tidy up. Time to slow down, look around and get busy!

My wonderful boss resigned today and Saturn will be crossing my ascendent at the end of this year. Where should I look to see if it’s positive for me to apply for his position?
