We will feel the fire on this Full Moon at 11° 49′ Sagittarius on 2 June 2015 at 09:19 AM PDT. In large part this will be due to Jupiter, Sagittarius’s ruler, receiving what he considers his due attention. Jupiter in Leo is trine the Sagittarius Moon and sextile the Gemini Sun plus he is part of a couple of aspect patterns I will discuss below.
The Gemini Sun stands between retrograde Mercury in Gemini and Mars in Gemini thus drawing the three planets into a stellium. This strengthens their reach and I’m inclined to see these three planets as apex of a small triangle with Jupiter in Leo trine Uranus in Aries as the base. The fiery planets bring out the best in the Gemini stellium, sparking curiosity and inspiring optimistic solutions.
I almost hate to point out the Gemini Stellium and the Sagittarius Moon have a major Achilles’ heel in the form of Neptune in Pisces. Neptune creates a mutable T-Square and makes it possible to spin the most fantastic dreams and theories out of mist and moonlight. Before you go running around sharing your brilliant ideas, please run them by the most trusted, pragmatic person you know. If they look at you like you’re nuts, scrap those . . . immediately, if not sooner. Believe me when I tell you the square between retrograde Mercury in Gemini and Neptune in Pisces is most likely to inspire pipe dreams which will need considerable reworking to bring into compliance with reality.
The most powerful aspect pattern on the lunation is a Yod with Pluto in Capricorn at the apex and Jupiter sextile Mars in Gemini as the base. If this sounds familiar, it is! The Taurus New Moon on May 17 had a Yod with Pluto at the apex and Jupiter sextile Mercury in Gemini as the base. At that time the elements were balanced and Pluto had support from the Taurus Sun and Moon. This time around fire and air have moved into dominance leaving Pluto the only planet in earth. One face of Pluto in Capricorn is people in positions of great power and privilege who work tirelessly behind the scenes to maintain control of what they see as the illiterate masses. The small triangle with Jupiter in Leo, the Gemini stellium and Uranus in Aries creates a powerful source of energy for freedom of thought and movement. Those of us with planets in the mid-degrees may feel more empowered than usual and if you need to break free of an unpleasant situation, draw on this energy to do so. Be warned though, repercussions are very likely because Pluto in Capricorn does not relinquish control gracefully. F.Y.I. this affects the mid-degrees (14° to 20°) in all the modes the most.
Venus in Cancer is within a few days of moving into dramatic Leo (on Friday, June 5) and this lends more support to her out-of-sign trine with Saturn in Sagittarius. On June 6 she will be trine Saturn in Sagittarius so I suppose we can anticipate that some. Nonetheless Venus is not quite ready to change her soft blues and greens for Leo’s bold reds and oranges. The trine to Saturn will help stabilize relationships and make dependability a more desirable quality in a potential partner.
I see no reason not to celebrate this flamboyant, outgoing Full Moon as long as you remember to have a designated driver, both literally and figuratively. Embrace the joy and spread your wings for a bit. Enjoy the moment!
