Week of June 1, 2015

Zodiac___Gemini_by_puimun

The easing continues this week with an optimistic Full Moon in Sagittarius and Venus making her entrance on Friday into Leo, where she transforms into a glamour queen. Venus in Leo is vivid, outgoing and often the life of the party.

If there is one nagging point of discomfort it swirls around Pluto in Capricorn and its inconjuncts to Mars (Tuesday) and the Sun in Gemini (Friday). Since Jupiter in Leo is currently making a sustained inconjunct to Pluto in Capricorn at 15°, any time one of planets making their way through Gemini is sextile Jupiter it creates at Yod with Pluto at the apex. I have discussed this Yod in the last two lunation posts, the Taurus New Moon and the Sagittarius Full Moon. This source of irritation gradually fades away next week as Jupiter pulls away from retrograde Pluto.

Friday looks to be a lively day all the way around. Venus transitions to Leo and a pleasing trine with Saturn in Sagittarius early Saturday. Mars in Gemini gets a huge boost in energy from a sextile to Jupiter in Leo. Once the Moon shifts into Aquarius Friday night, we will have eight planets in fire and air, leaving only Neptune in Pisces and Pluto in Capricorn in water and earth. Put this together with more planets in mutable signs and it’s going to feel a lot like Sagittarius Season. Optimism pervades the atmosphere, perhaps to the point of irrational exuberance.

If you are thinking of planning social occasions, this weekend is quite favorable. The comfortable trine between Venus in Leo and Saturn in Sagittarius is perfect for family parties where both children and adults are present. All the Gemini planets are in perfect harmony with the Aquarius Moon, great for eclectic gatherings which include people from all walks of life.

Nice, calm start to Monday under the aegis of the reserved Scorpio Moon. Once the Moon enters fiery Sagittarius midday it conjoins Saturn who reins in this adventurous Moon. The brilliant Sagittarius Full Moon happens on Tuesday and on Wednesday it is void-of-course most of the day. Capricorn Moon begins Wednesday evening and does its best to be business-like on Thursday. Thursday is the day the Moon conjoins Pluto in the evening and it will be early Friday morning before it squares Uranus in Aries. The Capricorn Moon goes void-of-course at dawn and is overshadowed by the other planetary activity on Friday. Aquarius Moon presides over the entire weekend.

From now until the Sun enters Cancer, fire and air dominate the sky. Explore new ideas, enjoying meeting new people and generally motivate about. Change still remains the constant though and one of these fine days, we’ll see more earth and water begin to filter back in.

Note: Timing is averaged for EDT to PDT.
