The awareness of forces at work beyond our control is very strong on the Full Moon at 06° 07′ Pisces, 29 August 2015, 11:35 AM PDT. The outer planets have their fingerprints all over this lunation. Neptune conjoins the Pisces Moon and Jupiter conjoins the Sun in Virgo. Venus and Mars are conjunct in Leo with Pluto in Capricorn exactly inconjunct Mars, and Uranus in Aries widely trine Venus. Mercury has only just arrived in Libra and it is caught between Jupiter in Virgo and Saturn in Scorpio.
All the Virgo-Pisces themes are powerfully activated now. Humility, service to those in need, compassion and spirituality are all in play. Pisces’s ruler, Neptune, conjoining the Moon can be a two edged sword because Neptune does have a dark side and there will be strong undercurrents waiting to pull the susceptible down. Lack of boundaries, denial and deception are part of this Full Moon too. Jupiter conjoining the Virgo Sun can act as a lighthouse to guide us through the dense fog Neptune is capable of creating. Jupiter in Virgo is very good at providing practical help and an optimistic attitude.
Clear sighted Mercury in Libra conjoins the North Node in Libra and this combination is very much in favor of equity, cooperation and compromise. Mercury is semi-sextile Jupiter in Virgo and makes an out-of-sign sextile to Saturn in Scorpio. The input from those two planets ensures agreements will be pragmatic and well grounded in reality.
Venus in Leo is moving back to conjoin Mars in Leo, heating up our love lives. Their exact conjunction is Monday, August 31 at 14° and for those who have personal planets in the fixed signs from 13° to 15°, things could get interesting. At this point in time, Mars in Leo is under Pluto in Capricorn’s thumb via an exact inconjunct while Venus makes a waning trine Uranus in Aries (exact on August 19). Issues involving love and/or money could get extremely complicated due to conflicting influences at work. Pluto’s need for control fighting it out with Uranus’s desire to be free . . . very familiar patterns in play the last few years.
There is a disjointed feel to this Full Moon with its four conjunctions (Sun-Jupiter, Moon-Neptune, Venus-Mars and Mercury-North Node). Mutable people will notice the luminaries and their companions the most, fixed signs the Venus-Mars conjunction in Leo and cardinal signs the Mercury-North Node connection. I have the sense it will take some time to process what emerges over the next week. Mixed signals are a distinct possibility and with Neptune adding layer upon layer of confusion, we could be days or even weeks figuring out what the heck happened.
This is one of those times when it is important to consciously choose kindness, compassion and forbearance towards others and ourselves. The Pisces Full Moon and Neptune can bring us wonderful dreams or horrendous nightmares, reflecting our inner processes. Fluid, enchanting and deceptive are all good descriptions of this Full Moon. Enjoy but be prepared for the hangover. Peace and Love to all.
