Full Moon in Gemini, November 25, 2015

Feel free to explore the world of ideas on the Full Moon at 03° 20′ Gemini, 25 November 2015, 02:44 PM PST but please hold off on committing to any of those for awhile because Neptune in Pisces is right smack in the middle of everything right now.

Saturn in Sagittarius conjoins the Sagittarius Sun and Mercury, providing some much needed stability and focus to a chart titled in favor of fire and air signs. With Neptune in Pisces squaring the lunar axis, we’ll need all the help we can get keeping our feet on the ground. Both the planets in earth signs, Jupiter in Virgo and Pluto in Capricorn, are on the sidelines for this lunation.

What we have is the potential for a huge influx of information because both Gemini and Sagittarius love to collect data. Gemini prefers to flit around grabbing tasty bits here and there which Sagittarius happily collates into a form that can be shared by many different people. Mercury conjunct Saturn in Sagittarius is perfect for this. However much of the data will be suspect due to Neptune’s presence. Rather than rushing ahead, wait to see whether or not the information passes the time test. If it still looks accurate after Mercury enters Capricorn on December 9, we’re good.

This Full Moon provides us with an excellent opportunity to get a feel for how the Saturn-Neptune square is going to affect our personal charts. Check to see what houses both Saturn and Neptune are currently transiting. The range of degrees affected will be from 7° to 12° with the first exact square on November 26 at 7°. In an ideal world, Saturn-Neptune aspects are wonderful for bringing works of art into being. Saturn brings structure and perseverance to the table while Neptune provides the inspiration and creative genius. When these two are square Saturn can be too rigid and Neptune too loose. Humor is Sagittarius’s saving grace and compassion is Pisces’s, so let’s draw on our sense of the absurd and keep our hearts open as we learn to work with this Saturn-Neptune square.

Venus in Libra is recovering from her square to Pluto in Capricorn on November 20 and her opposition to Uranus in Aries on November 23. Familiar themes could start to surface again left over from the Uranus-Pluto square years. Money issues are often a source of difficulties in relationships and some couples could end up rehashing those again. Cooperation and compromise are Libra’s favorite means to find resolution, use those along with moderation for best results. We can’t overlook Jupiter in Virgo’s semi-sextile to Venus either because Jupiter can convince Venus she always needs more of whatever it is she wants . . . often hard on the pocketbook.

Mars in Libra is a factor too since it is exactly inconjunct Neptune in Pisces and closely sextile the Mercury-Saturn conjunction in Sagittarius. This makes me think of either an elaborate prank of some kind, or rushing off in all directions at once. Neptune thoroughly messes with the ability to direct the energy generated by the Mars-Saturn sextile in a productive manner. We might think we have it all together only to find out after the fact we didn’t.

Gemini Full Moons are usually light, bright and upbeat. This one is no exception, and as long as we establish limits and boundaries going into this experience we should be OK. If we are flying by the seat of our pants which is Sagittarius’s normal style, the results may vary widely. Explore new worlds, have a few laughs and pass on making critical decisions for now. Be kind, express gratitude and choose joyfulness. Peace to all as we head into the holiday season.

Note: Timing is averaged for EDT to PDT.

  1. This will be an “interesting” period as I will be caught up in a mutable grand cross with this full moon. Probably best to just hide under the bed until this one passes.
