It is a very dynamic New Moon at 19° 03′ Sagittarius on 11 December 2015, 02:33 AM PST, with Mars, Jupiter and Uranus all directly aspecting the luminaries. Forthright Sagittarius is ever eager to explore new places and be exposed to different ways of thinking and being. Mars in Libra helps propel us out the door while Uranus in Aries encourages us to try something we’ve never done before. Jupiter in Virgo squaring the New Moon is somewhat trickier because we could go too far too fast and end up in the ditch.
The exact opposition between Mars in Libra and Uranus in Aries is an “I dare you” set up where we can end up in very risky situations because someone close to us eggs us on. This is complicated by Pluto in Capricorn recreating the cardinal T-Square of recent years. What motivates us may be far more complex with roots deep in the past. It is our one-on-one relationships most likely to suffer from the surfacing of buried resentments and deep anger. Be careful and ask for a time out if necessary.
Helping with the kiss and make up side of things is a lovely trine between Venus in Scorpio and Neptune in Pisces. Venus in Scorpio can put more into a long, smoldering look than anyone else. She has the whole “come hither” thing down to an art. Venus-Neptune trines add just the right amount of subtle glamour and hints of delightful fantasies to be played out in private. Have fun with this one!
The square between Saturn in Sagittarius and Neptune in Pisces is still at work in our lives whether we can see anything happening or not. Saturn takes his job of keeping it real very seriously but it is an uphill battle when it comes to Neptune. Disciplined expressions of compassion are possible under this influence, and being of service to others in a genuine manner is very pleasing to Neptune in Pisces as well as Saturn.
Mercury arrives in Capricorn a couple of days before the New Moon and is essentially unaspected on this lunation. We can all benefit from this Mercury’s clear, logical approach to problem solving. It excels at setting priorities and following through with those. Put it work in your life.
Using the New Moon in Sagittarius to forge ahead is a natural response to the bold, enthusiastic energy swirling around in the atmosphere. As long as we don’t trample others on our way out the door, we’ll be good. Failure to other people’s wishes and dreams into account can come back to haunt us in the future because nothing breeds resentment like feeling used and discarded. Working hand in hand with like minded people on behalf of the community is a far better plan.
