Fingers crossed this week will turn out to be the piece of cake it appears to be! There are no major aspects stirring things up during the transition from cool, dry Aquarius Season to warm, moist Pisces. Venus takes her leave from buttoned up Capricorn and embraces experimental Aquarius this week . . . that always makes for some interesting moments.
The Sun enters Pisces on February 18-19, a time when the Moon is in Cancer and the tide is coming in. Four planets in water and four in the mutable signs subtlety adds to the Pisces feel in the atmosphere. Pisces is one of the signs people tend to underestimate because they hide so much of their power beneath the surface. If you’ve ever been boating on a large, calm river, you know how strong the current can run under those gentle swirls on the surface. We’ve also reached the end of the zodiacal year, always a good time to reflect on what’s happened over the past one and give thought to how we want to position ourselves for the year ahead.
Venus is far more whimsical and willing to explore the unusual when she is in Aquarius. She arrives there on February 16 and will be unaspected until February 29, when she is sextile Saturn in Sagittarius. Who knows what she’ll get up during the next couple of weeks as she covers the first half of Aquarius from 0° to 15°?
With little else going on in the sky this week, the ebb and flow of the Moon’s journey is more evident in our daily lives.
The last aspect the Taurus Moon makes is a trine to Venus in Capricorn before she goes void-of-course until first thing Monday morning. Unlike the last time the Moon was in Gemini, this time she is greeted by a great trine to Mercury in Aquarius midmorning. Great for getting our minds kick started as we move into the week. A square to Neptune in Pisces overnight enhances our dreams though when the Gemini Moon opposes Saturn in Sagittarius late Tuesday morning, reality can return with a thud. The day does improve after that with a sextile to lively Uranus in Aries while a square to Jupiter in Virgo makes the evening interesting.
On Wednesday, the Moon ends her monthly visit to Gemini with a trine to the Aquarius Sun, not too long before she comes home to Cancer’s waters midday. It will be Thursday afternoon when we get our cardinal crunch with the Moon opposing Pluto and squaring Uranus. Any emotional distress should pass quickly, aided by the Sun moving into Pisces, a very soothing influence.
Friday the Cancer Moon goes void-of-course following a trine to Mars in Scorpio, leaving her free to pursue her own path until she bursts into Leo that evening.
We have the Leo Moon with us all weekend which lends itself to a pleasant party atmosphere! She has a great time hanging out with Mercury in Aquarius on Saturday and starts off Sunday with a trine to exciting Uranus in Aries. It won’t be until Sunday evening when Mars in Scorpio squares the Leo Moon that we know the party is over.
We have an opportunity this week to absorb recent lessons without too many distractions. Mercury is finally free of its shadow phase and we may finally see some movement on projects held in abeyance for one reason or another. Midweek is time to embrace the quiet beauties of Pisces Season while saying goodbye to Aquarius’s clarity of vision. Have a great week, everyone.
