An excellent week to be an earth sign! The Taurus contingent (Sun, Mercury and Venus) are happily working with Jupiter in Virgo and Pluto in Capricorn as well as each other. With one exception, the overall feeling is one of warmth and geniality.
One major mood lifter is Jupiter stationing direct on Monday at 13° 15′ Virgo. While Jupiter will remain at 13° Virgo until the end of May, knowing he is free to move forward is enough to make this upbeat planet return to his normally optimistic state of being. This marks the beginning of end of his stay in earthy Virgo. He will enter equitable Libra on September 9 and all of us will benefit from having a consistent presence in air for the following year.
Venus in Taurus is debatably the star of the show this week. She receives kisses from Neptune in Pisces on Monday, Jupiter on Tuesday and Pluto in Capricorn on Friday. All of these aspects are fabulous for dealing with financial issues and can do wonders for our love lives. Creative projects also flourish when Venus is happy.
However, on Wednesday Saturn in Sagittarius will do his best to cramp her style. This may play out as nasty remarks about appearances or being critical of life style choices, etc. I suggest shrugging those off because it will probably be someone’s envy or lack of self esteem speaking. Carry on and allow your inner goddess to shine through.
Mercury in Taurus is back up to speed in reverse and very well aspected this week. This is probably the most normal time during this Mercury retrograde, so take advantage of it to resolve business matters in particular. Mercury will conjoin the Sun on Monday and Venus on Friday. The Mercury-Sun conjunction on Monday is in the morning and will get the week off to a great start. If you need to come up with solid, practical solutions, this is the time to do it.
The Mercury-Venus conjunction creates a powerful, lasting trine to Pluto in Capricorn which will be in effect both Thursday and Friday. Both days are very good for meeting with money people, like financial advisors and bankers. If you’re looking to finance a new home, a business such as a plant nursery or perhaps a beauty salon, you stand a better chance of getting a favorable response . . . particularly if you have carefully done your homework and know how much you will need to get the job done right. Earth signs are very concerned about knowing all the pertinent details when it comes to getting their money’s worth.
The Moon gets off to a lazy start on Monday because she will be void-of-course in Gemini until midday. Once she dives into her home sign of Cancer, her mood will improve as well as her energy. She will happily flow along with no distractions until late that evening when an inconjunct with Mars in Sagittarius may temporarily ruin her mood.
Tuesday morning gets off to a great start with a trine to Neptune plus sextiles to Venus in Taurus and Jupiter in Virgo. Since Venus in Taurus will be trine Jupiter that day, the Cancer Moon will reflect the goodwill created by that aspect. Not even an opposition to Pluto in Capricorn late afternoon will do much to spoil her good humor because that aspect will be followed by sextiles to Mercury and Venus in Taurus.
Wednesday the Cancer Moon will be void-of-course following an early morning square to Uranus in Aries, whose effects will be softened by a trine to Chiron in Pisces at dawn. It will be afternoon before the Moon bursts into fiery Leo. Other than a trine to Mars in Sagittarius during the night, the Leo Moon will be basically unaspected until late in the day Thursday when she is trine Saturn in Sagittarius. Leo Moons usually prompt us to get out and enjoy life with others. Thursday evening may find the Leo Moon pouting because squares to Venus and Mercury in Taurus suggest extravagant plans could be nixed.
Friday morning starts off with a creative trine between the Leo Moon and Uranus in Aries before the Moon squares the Taurus Sun marking the second quarter of the lunar month. After that she will be void-of-course until late Friday night when she quietly enters earthy Virgo. Friday evening does look quite favorable for getting together for fun and games, something the Leo Moon is always up for. Plus Friday is also the day Mercury conjoins Venus in Taurus. Nice!
The weekend looks far better for quietly working in the yard and garden, tending to growing things in general. The Virgo Moon squares Mars in Sagittarius Saturday morning which suggests a lack of interest in running off to play. Sitting on the patio enjoying how nice your yard looks with freshly cut grass and weeded flower beds would be a pleasant way to end the day.
Sunday the Virgo Moon completes a Grand Trine in earth with Mercury conjunct Venus in Taurus and Pluto in Capricorn. You might want to plan activities that include spending time close to nature like visiting your favorite park to enjoy all the wonderful flowers and lush, green growth. Breathe in the oxygen rich air produced by all those happy plants!
The pace will still be more leisurely than some may prefer . . . after all we still have four retrograde planets and Taurus remains supreme for another couple of weeks. It might not hurt to give ourselves permission to take time to smell the flowers and stop to enjoy a sunset or two. Take a day or two to get back in touch with your natural rhythms and find some inner peace. Gemini season is not that far off for those who are getting bored with all this back to nature stuff. Just don’t bug those of us who are luxuriating in the moment please.
