Troublemakers this week are the two planets in water signs, retrograde Mars in Scorpio and Neptune in Pisces. Neither is going to be easy to deal with because both prefer to operate from behind the scenes and in an indirect manner. If a water sign is unhappy it usually has to do with emotional distress due to feelings being hurt thanks to insensitive behaviors.
Neptune stations retrograde on Monday at 12° 02′ Pisces, and if you are feeling confused or inexplicably tired, this event may be a contributing factor. The second exact square between Neptune and Saturn in Sagittarius will occur on Friday and we’ll be aware of this all week. Now is not the time to get creative with facts. We’re far better off sticking with people and ideas with a proven track record.
Venus and the Sun in Gemini are caught up with Mars in Scorpio as first Venus, then the Sun, inconjunct Mars. Monday Venus in Gemini is not only inconjunct Mars but also square Chiron in Pisces which sounds a lot like someone behaved very badly towards their lover. Serious apologies are probably in order if the relationship is going to survive. This is one of those times when behaving with gentle consideration of other people’s feelings will pay big dividends. The Gemini Sun repeats the inconjunct to Mars and the square to Chiron on Wednesday with similar results, only this time it could be our self image that takes a big hit.
There is a sparkly, exciting aspect on Tuesday, a sextile between the Gemini Sun and Uranus in Aries. Talk about thinking outside the box! These two are sure to come up with some amazing ways to approach old problems. Things will seem to be going swimmingly initially but as the inconjunct between Mars in Scorpio and Uranus in Aries strengthens (it is exact on Saturday), a Yod will be created with Mars in Scorpio at the apex. This influence will actually be in effect from late Tuesday through the weekend, after that the Sun pulls out of orb. Here again my sense is failure to take human sensitivities into consideration when making plans that sound great on paper will run into serious resistance. It’s time to get out of our heads and into our hearts before making choices, especially on behalf of other people. Nothing creates ill will like someone making commitments for us without taking the time to ask if it is something we want.
Venus leaves witty Gemini for nurturing Cancer on Friday. Gemini tells us how they feel with showers of words while Cancer does it non-verbally with good food, sweet hugs and loving looks. This shift is the prelude to the upcoming Solstice on June 20 when the Sun enters Cancer and the waters begin to rise again. By the Cancer New Moon on July 4, cardinal energy will be in force and the current mutable muddle will have largely dissipated.
The Libra Moon will be hard at work on Monday encouraging everyone to realize there are two sides to every story. Libra’s ruler, Venus, is under stress that day and will need all the support she can get. Saturn will help balance Libra’s scales Monday evening, ending the day nicely.
Even though the cardinal crunch is fading away, I’m still taking note of it and very early Tuesday morning the Moon will square Pluto in Capricorn. It will be late afternoon, early evening before she opposes Uranus in Aries, so she will be free to go her own way most of the day. During the night the Libra Moon will be trine Venus in Gemini before going void-of-course until early Wednesday morning when she will dive into Scorpio’s waters. We should be able to go about our daily routines with not too many interruptions Tuesday.
It will be about twenty four hours before the Scorpio Moon is trine Neptune in Pisces early Thursday morning. Sextiles to Jupiter in Virgo and Pluto in Capricorn Thursday afternoon make this the best day to handle business concerns. One thing the Scorpio Moon is very good at is maintaining focus and helping us do the same.
Friday morning the Scorpio Moon conjoins retrograde Mars in Scorpio before going void-of-course until evening when she moves into fiery Sagittarius. Something to keep in mind is the Mars-Uranus inconjunct is within minutes of being exact and the Moon-Mars conjunction could add to the emotional undertow already occurring. We need to monitor not only how we treat others but our own emotional response to how we are being treated. The danger of creating a tsunami of anger and resentment that will rise up and leave ruin in its wake after Mars goes direct is very real.
Saturday and Sunday the Sagittarius Moon will encourage us to leave the house and head outdoors to play. Saturday the Moon conjoins Saturn and squares Neptune in Pisces which may make for bad judgment calls. The Moon-Saturn conjunction hints at instant karma for stupid behaviors. Sunday is a generally more upbeat day with the main aspect occurring late afternoon/early evening, a cheerful trine between the Sagittarius Moon and Uranus in Aries. This is another decent weekend for social activities such as going to sporting events or taking a hike.
I can’t emphasize enough the importance of paying attention to what’s going on around us this week. We do have quick witted Mercury in Gemini on hand to help keep us from speaking out of turn the first part of the week but by the weekend the waxing square to Neptune in Pisces will interfere with Mercury’s effectiveness. All of this week is a prelude to the Full Moon in Sagittarius and the Solstice on June 20. Making assumptions is perilous at the best of times, and these are not. Be as thoughtful, kind and patient as you can now. Go forth and do no harm.
