Week of September 12, 2016

If we don’t make a concerted effort to treat others with kindness and tact this week, we may get a first hand lesson in instant karma. The temptation to behave badly and say nasty, hurtful things is going to be strong since retrograde Mercury in Virgo, Venus in Libra and Mars in Sagittarius are all coming under fire. Chiron in Pisces is involved too and that means some may be feeling quite sensitive and vulnerable. And we can’t forget the Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Pisces on Friday!

The first part of the week the Sun conjoins retrograde Mercury in Virgo and both square Mars in Sagittarius. Mars in Sagittarius can take Sagittarius bluntness to an extreme and that can bring out the virago in Virgo. No one does critical like an angry Virgo and they will let you know in exquisite detail exactly what is wrong with you. Unlike Mercury in fixed Scorpio who can slice and dice with few words, mutable Virgo can go on and on. Something we need to bear in mind is while apologies are all good and well, practicing restraint and not saying or doing something we need to apologize for is far better.

On Thursday the Virgo Sun will oppose Chiron in Pisces and be inconjunct Uranus in Aries. These aspects can leave people feeling overly sensitive and on the jumpy side. No one knows what little surprises Uranus has in store either. Mars in Sagittarius squares Chiron in Pisces late Thursday adding more fuel to the fire. Count to at least twenty before speaking or taking action. Choose to practice kindness and patience please.

The Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Pisces on Friday looks like the tipping point and when matters come to a head. I suspect much of the angst this week is going to be due to people having to face some unpleasant realities. The pair of eclipses on either side of the final exact Saturn-Neptune square may accelerate the lifting of Neptune’s fogbank, more’s the pity. Brace yourselves!

Over the weekend our love lives may be livened up due to Mars in Sagittarius trine Uranus in Aries on Saturday and Venus in Libra opposing Uranus on Sunday. Venus and Mars will be exactly sextile on September 19. This looks like a flirtatious mix involving lots of teasing and laughter. People may fall in love at first sight and have a great time in the process. An unexpected romantic gesture or two can be very good for renewing interest in long standing partnerships too. Remember Venus in Libra is turned off by vulgarity and rudeness, so plan accordingly. Give your date enough warning ahead of time so they can dress appropriately for the occasion. Sometimes it is better to sacrifice the element of surprise to keep the peace . . . take it from a Libra who has been there!

The first half of the day on Monday, the Capricorn Moon is void-of-course following an opposition to Uranus in Aries well before dawn. She still has enough juice to help get us lined out and organized for the week. Late afternoon/early evening the Moon enters fixed, airy Aquarius trine Jupiter in Libra. This ought to end the day on a positive note. We will have three planets in air until late Wednesday providing us with opportunities to be more objective and take a rational approach for a change.

Tuesday the Aquarius Moon is sextile Saturn in Sagittarius in the morning and trine Venus in Libra late in the evening. Both aspects are excellent for working with others in a constructive manner. Tuesday and Wednesday are the best days this week to schedule meetings. The Aquarius Moon helps us step back from our emotions too . . . a very good thing given all the other aspects at work this week.

The Moon will be void-of-course following a sextile to Uranus in Aries during the morning Wednesday and won’t slip into Pisces until Wednesday evening. Work on projects already in place rather than starting something new. The fixed Aquarius Moon helps stabilize the atmosphere making to easier to work in a focused manner.

Thursday the Pisces Moon conjoins Neptune and squares Saturn in Sagittarius, landing us right back in the mutable muddle again. It won’t be until late Thursday evening before Pluto in Capricorn comes along to provide some structure to the Pisces Moon. We may need to allow more time to accomplish what are usually simple tasks.

We have the lunar eclipse on Friday and an exact square between the Pisces Moon and Mars in Sagittarius to deal with. This looks to be a rather volatile day too. If you can, schedule routine activities that require little concentration because there are bound to be plenty of distractions bouncing around!

We start a new lunar cycle with the arrival of the Aries Moon Friday night. Waking up on Saturday morning to an exciting opposition between the Aries Moon and Jupiter in Libra will hopefully give us a new outlook on life. A late afternoon/early evening trine to Saturn in Sagittarius will gently slow the Aries Moon some but still give us plenty of energy to go out and play Saturday night.

Midday Sunday the Aries Moon conjoins Uranus, opposes Venus in Libra and then is trine Mars in Sagittarius before going void-of-course for the rest of the day. Believe me, these aspects will provide plenty of momentum to do whatever you have on your agenda! Sunday doesn’t look particularly restful but it can be fun and exciting. There is nothing like an Aries Moon to keep us feeling alive and living in the moment.

The best thing about this week is Jupiter is now is peace loving Libra along with Venus. Otherwise it looks pretty contentious out there. Please practice patience and be kind as much as possible. For what it’s worth, next week looks far calmer. Let’s see if we can survive this one in one piece! Good luck!
