I like the looks of this week’s sky much better than last week’s. For one thing the Sun enters Libra hand in hand with Jupiter on Thursday which bodes well for the time between the equinox and the solstice. Mercury in Virgo stations direct on Wednesday trine Pluto in Capricorn, softening that particular transition, and there are no major hard aspects this week at all giving us a nice break!
Libra’s ruler, Venus, is sextile Mars in Sagittarius on Monday and she will still be within orb on the equinox. However on Friday Venus has to say goodbye to her home sign of Libra and move into Scorpio. The shift from Libra to Scorpio is like diving into deep, cool water on a pleasant summer day. Initially it can be a shock to the system but once our bodies adjust it feels pretty darn good! Venus in Scorpio loves to project an image of mystery, and prefers to observe from the sidelines before choosing to make her move. Better stand back when she does!
When Mercury in Virgo stations direct on Wednesday night, it will do so trine to Pluto in Capricorn. It will be exactly trine Pluto twice on either side of the station, on Tuesday and Friday. This trine is quite good for doing serious research and coming up with the information we need the most. Personally I feel this aspect will be most helpful for managing the side effects of a Mercury station. Be prepared to review and revise important documents. Once over probably won’t be enough to catch any critical errors.
One very positive note about the Sun’s transition from Virgo to Libra is Jupiter in Libra will be within a couple degrees of the Sun through this change. The Sun will exactly conjoin Jupiter very early Monday morning on September 26. We will have an opportunity to experience the effect Jupiter in fair-minded Libra first hand this week. I am hopeful this will improve people’s willingness to cooperate . . . something sorely missing for quite some time.
We get one final taste of earthy goodness on Monday and Tuesday when the Moon is in easy going Taurus. This is a great time to work in the garden, maybe start in on Fall cleanup projects. Monday the Taurus Moon ambles along quietly most of the day with a nurturing sextile to Neptune in Pisces during the afternoon. Overnight the Moon will create a Grand Trine in earth with Mercury in Virgo and Pluto in Capricorn. Monday looks good for picking up the threads at work and methodically working through the usual Monday backlog.
Tuesday starts off on a good note but by late afternoon/early evening the Taurus Moon is the apex of a Yod with Venus in Libra sextile Mars in Sagittarius as the base. Something may come up at work that interferes with plans of a romantic nature. Since Mercury is at a standstill, it’s possible there may be a failure to communicate.
We wake up to a lively Gemini Moon Wednesday who happily buzzes about most of the day, talking up a storm. Plans could go sideways though late afternoon when the Gemini Moon creates a mutable T-Square with the Saturn-Neptune square. This is also the day when Mercury stations direct during the night. Be patient and allow time to go over the details more than once.
Thursday the Sun enters Libra, and with the Gemini Moon we’ll have four planets in air. This will go a long way towards helping clear up confusion and get plans back on track. An afternoon sextile from Uranus in Aries to the Gemini Moon is perfect for finding a fresh perspective and doing some creative thinking. Thursday evening the Moon opposes Mars in Sagittarius and livens up any social gatherings.
The Moon slips into Cancer during the wee hours of the morning Friday and by the time we are heading off to work, she will be squaring Jupiter in Libra. While this aspect can be contentious, it will also be very energizing since we’re back in cardinal sign territory again. For most of the day, the Cancer Moon will be minding her own business and while our emotions may be heightened, the effect should be mild. An evening trine to Neptune in Pisces plus Venus newly arrived in Scorpio increases our sensitivity to other people’s feelings. Staying at home and having a nice dinner with family may sound better than a night on the town.
On Saturday a largely unaspected Cancer Moon looks good for puttering around the house. There might be some unexpected company Saturday evening when Uranus in Aries squares the Cancer Moon before going void-of-course for the night.
Sunday is a far better day for heading out to play. The Moon moves into Leo first thing in the morning, squares Venus in Scorpio midday before having a great time hanging out with the Sun and Jupiter in gracious Libra. This is by far the best day this week for spending time with friends just for the fun of it. Sunday evening has a very convivial atmosphere. Enjoy!
As long as we make allowances for Mercury stationing direct this week, the atmosphere is far more harmonious than it has been in some time. Less tension and more civility are conducive to being able to maintain a positive attitude. I especially like Jupiter in Libra and Sun traveling hand in hand from Wednesday on because whenever the Sun and Jupiter are in harmony, they spread an amazing amount of loving warmth far and wide.
