Something to keep in mind these days is it is Libra Season and with the Sun, Mercury and Jupiter in Libra, the desire for a peaceful, harmonious atmosphere is quite strong. Nevertheless Libra’s scales are going to be stepped on all too frequently this week and that makes Libra cranky.
Like last week, this week starts off pleasant and upbeat before gradually descending into discord. Tuesday has all kinds of positive aspects starting with Mercury conjoining Jupiter in Libra, then Venus in Scorpio is trine Chiron in Pisces and lastly Mars in Capricorn makes a sextile to Neptune in Pisces. This looks like one of those days when we’re convinced a positive mental outlook can overcome just about anything . . . a brief, shining moment in time.
Adding Pisces/Neptune to the mix brings empathy and compassion to our relationships through Venus and Mars. Take time to shower your loved ones with affectionate gestures like hugs and kisses. Neither Venus in Scorpio nor Mars in Capricorn are big talkers and prefer non-verbal means to show their love. This is a loving blend of earth and water which feeds our relationship with our significant other on a deep level.
A note of friction enters the scene overnight Tuesday when Venus in Scorpio is inconjunct Uranus in Aries. Fixed Venus in Scorpio likes consistency and Uranus in Aries loves being unpredictable. Scorpio will not hesitate to cut someone out of their lives for treating them badly. Now is not a good time to stand up your date because something else came up that sounded like more fun.
Wednesday Mercury in Libra is inconjunct Neptune in Pisces. Mercury-Neptune aspects are seldom good for clear, direct communications and this one may cause people to end up in a deferment loop . . . “Whatever you think is best, dear. No, whatever YOU think is best.” Where is Aries when we need them?
Mercury in Libra squares Mars in Capricorn on Thursday and Pluto in Capricorn on Saturday. One possibility has to do with rehashing issues raised last week, not something many of us are all that anxious to do. What might help is Friday’s sextile between Mercury and Saturn in Sagittarius. Take the time to make sure your information is accurate and present it in small, easily understood doses. There is bound to be resistance, so be patient and allow plenty of time for the facts to sink in.
The big event this week is the Full Moon in Aries on Saturday (or Sunday depending on time zone) with the Aries Moon conjoined Uranus and both opposing the Libra Sun. Cardinal signs dominate the lunation chart and that ought to ensure for brisk debate as well as no hesitation about reveling unpleasant information. Cardinal signs are nothing if not direct and forceful if they need to be, even sensitive Cancer and peace loving Libra. Fiery Aries may be quick to blow up but can cool down just as fast, so flare-ups on the Full Moon may only burn hot for a brief time.
The Moon offers a little something nice for everyone this week because there are planets in all the elements and modes right now. Admittedly cardinal signs dominate but, hey, that’s temporary. Another factor that may ease us over the rough spots of the Full Moon in Aries is the Pisces Moon preceding it and the Taurus Moon following after. Pisces and Taurus both get on well with the Libra Sun, Mercury and Jupiter because Pisces prefers harmony to discord and Taurus shares a ruler, Venus, with Libra. The desire to kiss and make up will be more evident than usual now.
Monday will make air signs happy campers with the Aquarius Moon trine Mercury and Jupiter in Libra during the day, followed by a sextile to Saturn in Sagittarius during the night. We all benefit from being able to review issues on the table with a modicum of objectivity. Aquarius does detached exceptionally well and Libra is very good at making sure all voices are heard.
We start the day Tuesday with the Aquarius Moon trine the Libra Sun, repeating Monday’s themes. The only awkward aspect for the Moon is when she squares Venus in Scorpio late afternoon, placing Scorpio’s passions in sharp contrast to Aquarius’s coolness. Thankfully the Moon will be sextile Uranus in Aries a short time later, expanding horizons and preventing boredom. Monday and Tuesday are the best days this week for making progress with the minimum of fuss.
After an overnight void-of-course in Aquarius, the Moon slides into watery Pisces first thing Wednesday morning and quietly drift along minding her own business until late afternoon/early evening when she makes an inconjunct with Jupiter in Libra. The Libra-Pisces theme of avoiding confrontation and dabbling in denial is evident today with an inconjunct between Mercury in Libra and Neptune in Pisces happening in the morning. This is a drifty sort of day best spent working on routine matters.
With Pluto in Capricorn at her back Thursday morning, the Pisces Moon is more engaged. This aspect fosters the ability to pull seemingly unrelated facts together into a cohesive whole allowing us to make a cogent argument to support our position. By late afternoon/early evening, the desire to withdraw seeps back in when the Pisces Moon is inconjunct the Libra Sun and conjoins Chiron. Do take some time for some self-nurturance this evening in order to prepare for the Aries Moon whirlwind on Friday and Saturday.
After the Moon blows into fiery Aries early Friday morning, she has free rein until evening when she opposes Jupiter in Libra. Probably the best thing to do with all the energy flowing around is focus it on useful activities. Aries Moons are a very good time to push your agenda as long as you are well organized and are ready to address any questions that may arise.
Saturday our mettle is tested by the Full Moon in Aries. The Aries Moon does have support from Saturn in Sagittarius early in the day but most of the time she is under stress from an opposition to Mercury in Libra and squares to the Capricorn planets. Just before the Full Moon, she conjoins Uranus in Aries. It is a fierce and feisty energy today and we need to think about how we want to handle it.
Early Sunday morning the Moon rolls into calm, earthy Taurus, completely changing the tone from the day before. She makes no aspects until evening when she is inconjunct Jupiter in Libra. This day has “time out” written all over it and we’ll probably need one. Relax with family and friends if that’s your thing. If you are someone who requires solitude to recharge, then be sure to make time for that. There is an easy, sedate flow to the day giving us a much needed break.
Attend to critical matters the first three days this week and on Friday. Thursday and Saturday are both far too polarized to accomplish much as part of a team, though working alone will probably be fine. Whether or not you find this week energizing may depend on how cardinal your natal chart is because cardinal signs usually enjoy a good challenge. Sensitive mutable types may want to duck for cover until the worst blows over. Listen carefully, practice patience and always, always be kind.
