Depending on where you live, the Moon will arrive in steady Capricorn first thing in the morning or mid-morning. Either way she will bustle about all day with no interference until evening when she will conjoin Mercury, then sextile Mars in Pisces before conjoining the Sun for the New Moon. Capricorn Moons can help us set priorities and concentrate on the practicalities. During the Black Moon leading up to the New Moon, it is best to work on completing old business. Energy levels are often low at this time and since Mercury is currently retrograde this effect may be more noticeable. 🌠☾♑🌠
Today the Sun conjoins Mercury, and Mercury is sextile Mars in Pisces. When Mercury is cazimi (exactly conjunct the Sun), being objective is far more challenging than usual. Between Mercury being retrograde and cazimi the Sun, we might want to hold off making firm decisions for now. This is an unusually good time to review the information we have and see if we can discern those areas where we need more input. The New Moon in Capricorn takes place either late tonight or during the wee hours after midnight, and it is bound to give us more food for thought. If possible, wait until Mercury stations direct on January 8 before moving ahead with your plans.
