It would appear the Universe is interested in encouraging us to keep at least one toe on the ground. That’s because we’re still going to have one planet in Taurus despite the Sun dancing into Gemini on Saturday. Mercury finally makes it back to Taurus on Monday night/Tuesday morning which means Gemini’s ruler is going to be more thoughtful than impulsive . . . a very good thing in this fire and air dominated sky.
As the Sun ambles through the last few degrees of Taurus, it will only make two aspects. Early in the week the Taurus Sun will be inconjunct Saturn in Sagittarius. Dealing with responsible Saturn isn’t a problem for careful Taurus and that might be the best way to handle this inconjunct. Focus on keeping things simple and practical this week. On Thursday when the Taurus Sun makes a benign sextile to Chiron in Pisces, we can take time to explore natural options for healing. It wouldn’t hurt to get extra rest this week with both the Sun and Mercury in Taurus slowing the pace. Once the Sun enters Gemini, we could run into information overload as well as a much noisier atmosphere.
Saturn in Sagittarius is exactly trine Uranus in Aries at 26° this Thursday though both planets reached 26° on May 8 and will remain there until May 24. This aspect has been quietly at work for awhile keeping the worst of the Mercury-Uranus conjunction side-effects in check. We will see this trine perfect one more time in November of this year before Saturn finally leaves Sagittarius for Capricorn in December.
We have two very different aspects involving Jupiter in Libra this week. The first is on Wednesday when Jupiter is inconjunct Neptune in Pisces, and I have the feeling it will leave lots of people scratching their heads with confusion. We need to be careful what we wish for because we might get it! Wishful thinking abounds between Jupiter’s tendency to exaggerate and Neptune’s capacity for the delusional.
On Friday Venus in Aries reaches the degree she went retrograde, and she will do so opposing Jupiter in Libra. Venus-Jupiter aspects are usually positive and generate goodwill. It’s as if Jupiter in Libra is showing up to give Venus his blessing as she finally leaves her retrograde experience behind. This ought to have a positive impact on relationships in general.
Another aspect taking place Friday is Mars in Gemini inconjunct Pluto in Capricorn. Let’s face it; Mars in Gemini is so far out of his weight class it isn’t funny. The best he can hope for is Pluto being amused by his efforts to fight back. This is so not a good time for the little guy to push his agenda. Retreat for now and wait for a more opportune moment.
When the Sun leaves placid, earthy Taurus for spritely Gemini, the focus will shift from the physical world to the mental realms and our curiosity reignites. Gemini loves playing with ideas, and makes witty comments that provoke laughter as well as thought. Taking short trips or visiting with close friends is always fun during Gemini Season.
The Capricorn Moon is in charge on Monday and when she conjoins Pluto during the afternoon, anyone caught not working is going to hear about it from their superiors. It is best to keep the nose to the grindstone in the first place. Go in early and be prepared to put in a full day.
Thanks to Mercury moving into Taurus Monday night, we may not notice the Capricorn Moon being void-of-course during the morning. The Moon shifts into Aquarius midday and promptly squares Mercury in Taurus. Aquarius and Taurus tend to differ on following the “rules” . . . Taurus loves them and Aquarius hates them. If you find yourself caught in the middle, get a second opinion from an expert.
Wednesday looks very good for meeting with coworkers to discuss future prospects. The Aquarius Moon enjoys favorable aspects with Venus in Aries midday and Jupiter in Libra during the late afternoon. It will be easier to see the big picture and chart out those areas where we have common ground with others.
The genial mood continues on Thursday when the Aquarius Moon harmonizes with the Saturn-Uranus trine during the afternoon. Both Wednesday and Thursday are better for working on theory rather than implementation. Explore as many options as possible. The Moon slips into watery Pisces Thursday evening, always nice for having pleasant dreams.
On Friday the Pisces Moon is sextile Mercury in Taurus before dawn and then makes no major aspects until she conjoins Neptune very late Friday night. This makes for a rather drifty day and it might be a good idea to hold off tackling something new until next week. Some may be distracted by relationship issues thanks to the Venus-Jupiter opposition occurring during the morning.
Conflicting signals abound on Saturday with the Pisces Moon feeling battered by Mars in Gemini in the morning and Saturn in Sagittarius in the evening. It could be challenging finding something everyone can agree on. Once the Sun arrives in busy Gemini midday, we could get hit with communications coming in from all sides.
After being void-of-course during the night, the Moon dashes into outgoing Aries around dawn on Sunday morning and is sextile the Gemini Sun shortly thereafter. This is a far better day with plenty of bright, lively energy. It is perfect for taking off to try something new with your friends. Have fun!
We may find ourselves lurching along this week, especially on Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday. This will smooth out by late Friday and the weekend should be fine. The Saturn-Uranus trine suggests we’re better off going with options that are a blend of traditional and cutting edge . . . something the Gemini Sun will happily endorse. Despite the hiccups, the overall feel this week is less stressful than last week.
