Taurus Moon welcomes the Sun to Cancer . . . it’s the Solstice! 6-20-2017

The Taurus Moon is in a good place today with the exception of a brief period during the afternoon. She enjoys a sextile to Mars in Cancer this morning, a nice steady boost of energy to start off the work day. During the afternoon a sextile to Neptune in Pisces brings out her nurturing side and since she conjoins lovely Venus shortly after that, we’ll probably be struck by the need for something delicious to eat! Taurus’s idea of nurturance usually involves food after all. A relaxed, easy going approach goes over quite well today. 🌠☽♉🌠

For those of us on the West Coast, the Solstice occurs this evening but it will happen after midnight the further east you go. The Taurus Moon will be conjoining Venus with both trine Pluto in Capricorn when the Sun enters Cancer, easing us into a much more watery landscape. The Sun and Mercury make the transition from airy Gemini to Cancer together so the need to switch from our heads to our hearts is going to be noticeable. Enjoy your Solstice celebrations in style!

There are two very pleasant aspects to help offset the effects of one painful one today. Venus in Taurus happily dances with Neptune in Pisces and Mercury in Gemini is excited by a sextile to Uranus in Aries. When Mercury in Gemini squares Chiron in Pisces midday, hurtful words in the guise of humor can leave a great deal of pain in their wake. Follow the example of the Venus-Neptune sextile and exercise gentle compassion to sooth those hurts. Let your mind run free and explore exciting new possibilities, thanks to the Mercury-Uranus sextile . . . by the way, this is the last major aspect Mercury makes before it leaves for Cancer.

Note: Timing is averaged for EDT to PDT.
