There is depth to this Full Moon at 13° 53′ Pisces, September 6, 04:05 AM PDT, thanks to Neptune in Pisces conjoining the Moon and Pluto in Capricorn sextile to her. If we are willing to dig deep we may be able to turn a dream or two into reality. After those intense eclipses, this lunation is far more relaxed and meditative . . . a very pleasant change in my opinion.
Given the Virgo Sun and Pisces Moon are trine and sextile to Pluto in Capricorn respectively, there is little pressure to take action but rather an invitation to explore within. Pluto is the key to going deeper than usual to identify where we need to do the serious work to heal ourselves. Full Moons always emphasize one-on-one relationships and the Virgo-Pisces axis teaches us about devoting ourselves to serving others. What can happen sometimes is we can get so caught up with other people’s concerns we forget to take care of ourselves. Virgo excels at teaching us how to stay healthy by establishing healthy exercise and eating patterns in our daily lives. If we do that, then we have more energy when we need to step up to be of service. In other words, make your health and well being a priority!
The day before this Full Moon, Mercury, Virgo’s ruler, stationed direct at 28° 25′ Leo. It conjoins Mars who made the transition to Virgo shortly before Mercury’s station. This is a far less belligerent combination than the Mercury-Mars conjunction in Leo on September 3, mostly because Mars is much less aggressive in earthy Virgo than fiery Leo. Mercury is exactly trine Uranus in Aries, a very exciting and creative aspect. Perhaps Mars in Virgo’s penchant for meticulous action will help us produce wonderful art of all types plus come up with original solutions to frustrating problems.
The only spot of trouble involves Venus in Leo. She is inconjunct the Moon-Neptune conjunction in Pisces and is semi-sextile the Virgo Sun. This is not the best time to make important decisions about love or money because we can either become overly embroiled in petty details or be dazzled by fool’s gold and glamour. Don’t despair because Venus in Leo will have her moment to shine the week of September 11.
The Jupiter in Libra-Saturn in Sagittarius sextile, exact on September 3, is still well within orb and spreading blessings everywhere. These two planets working together harmoniously this past year have kept many of us sane. Jupiter in Libra has tempered Saturn in Sagittarius’s tendency to go all righteous by gently encouraging the need to see both sides of the issue. After Jupiter moves into Scorpio and Saturn into Capricorn, they will be sextile by sign but never by degree. By the equinox on September 22, this wonderful sextile will be rapidly fading away, I’ll be sad to see it end.
There is much to love about the Full Moon in Pisces with its calm, meditative atmosphere. After the tumultuous eclipses in August, this lunation offers us opportunities to regroup and heal. It is an excellent time to enjoy some solitude or relax in a quiet, peaceful setting with those who share your spiritual beliefs. Peace and joy to all.
