This may be the final week of Virgo season but Virgo’s influence will continue to be felt for awhile yet. The Sun moves into Libra on Friday marking the Vernal Equinox, giving us another planet in air but earth and water will still dominate the sky. Another important event is the New Moon in Virgo on Tuesday, the beginning of a very Virgo period lasting until the Sun enters airy Libra on Friday.
What may cause us the most trouble are Mercury and Mars in Virgo opposing Neptune in Pisces. Mercury will oppose Neptune on Tuesday and Mars on Sunday. It is very likely we’ll be wandering off course and into la la land on and off all week. Be careful about jumping to conclusions or running off to tilt at windmills. It would be a good idea to carefully check the facts first and foremost. When Mercury is trine Pluto in Capricorn on Friday it ought to help us sort out fact from fiction.
Tuesday is an active day with Venus slipping into Virgo and the New Moon in Virgo plus that Mercury-Neptune opposition. In my opinion, the best approach to successfully handling all of this to take lessons from Virgo and be calm, methodical and thorough. Flying off the handle and raising our voices will not likely produce desirable results.
On the Sun’s way out of Virgo, it will be inconjunct Uranus in Aries on Wednesday. Aries makes Virgo very nervous, and Uranus in Aries drives Virgo slightly batty with its abrupt changes in direction and ignoring anything but its own whims. Virgo is oriented towards helping other and Uranus in Aries only serves its self. Be careful about ignoring other people’s needs at this time or risk harming important relationships due the resentment generated.
This week the Moon only travels through three signs: Virgo, Libra and Scorpio. These signs are associated with the transition from summer to autumn in the northern hemisphere, giving us a hint of things to come.
Monday has the potential to be productive with the Moon in industrious Virgo. She will conjoin energizing Mars midday and Mercury towards late afternoon/early evening. The morning looks better for working with others though as long as we keep our cool, the rest of the work day should go fine too.
A Virgo Moon-Saturn in Sagittarius square marks midday on Tuesday with the New Moon in Virgo occurring late Tuesday night/early Wednesday morning depending on location. With Venus entering Virgo on this day, we have an especially strong dose of earthy Virgo energy. It will be easy to become caught up in the details and lose sight of the big picture, so we may as well go with that and get lots of picky, painstaking work done.
Early Wednesday morning the Moon shifts into airy Libra where she will make no aspects until midday on Thursday. We’re very close to Libra season now and we may as well start practicing being tactful, cooperative and fair. Working with our partners, both personal and business, usually gets a nice boost from the Libra Moon. Using our company manners doesn’t hurt either.
The first half of the day on Thursday continues the Libra Moon’s equitable themes but once she squares obstinate Pluto in Capricorn midday, it will probably be more difficult to negotiate compromises. Formal occasions during the evening benefit from a Libra Moon-Saturn in Sagittarius sextile.
Early Friday morning the Libra Moon goes void-of-course following her monthly face off with irascible Uranus in Aries. She enters mysterious Scorpio midday a couple of hours before the Sun’s arrival in Libra. A pleasant sextile between the Scorpio Moon and Venus in Virgo occurs during the evening. This one is better for intimate moments rather than going out to the clubs.
The Moon spends the weekend in Scorpio and that usually is better for spending quiet time alone or with trusted companions. Saturday has a very nice flow to it with the Scorpio Moon sextile Mars in Virgo in the morning, followed by a trine to Neptune in Pisces midday and a sextile Pluto in Capricorn during the evening. These are great aspects for solving creative problems requiring intense concentration and attention to detail.
Sunday we have a void-of-course Scorpio Moon all day plus the Mars in Virgo opposition to Neptune in Pisces. Slowing down and getting some extra rest is a good plan. Doing simple, routine tasks around the home is an option but it will take extra effort if you need to attend social gatherings or a sporting event.
There is no getting around the fact Virgo dominates the week. It is a great time to review health routines with an eye to improving our overall health and well being. Practice being present in the moment and do simple, physical chores to stay grounded. The intense drama engendered during Leo Season with the eclipses and a challenging Mercury retrograde are now behind us, and the kindly Virgo energy is perfect for picking up the pieces in order to move forward with our lives. One thing we do want to steer clear of is being overly critical . . . Virgo’s weakness. Time to get to work everyone!
