Every once in awhile we get some breathing space and this week is one of those times. The overall feel is constructive and projects already in the works are the best place to put our energy since we’re in the second half of the lunar cycle.
Venus has to set aside the carefully color coordinated outfits she wore for her stay in Libra and get comfortable in basic black, appropriate for Scorpio. She will enter Scorpio on Tuesday, November 7 and she’ll be there until December 1. Her stay in Scorpio is generally pleasant because she enjoys a conjunction with Jupiter in Scorpio, a trine to Neptune in Pisces and a sextile to Pluto in Capricorn. The only real jolt comes late in November when she is inconjunct unpredictable Uranus in Aries on November 27. Nonetheless, Venus in Scorpio is not exactly noted for being all sweetness and light because her passions run deep. We’ll have opportunities to deepen our relationships in a meaningful way if we so choose.
The two major aspects this week are an interesting study in contrasts. The Scorpio Sun is sextile Scorpio’s ruler, Pluto in Capricorn, on Thursday which offers us a chance to explore how we are interconnected to others and the world around us much more deeply than usual.
On Saturday, we experience the final trine between Saturn in Sagittarius and Uranus in Aries. This fiery trine has been wonderful for coming up with brilliant yet very functional ways to implement change. F.Y.I. the Saturn-Uranus trine is essentially exact from November 5 to November 14 though it is partile (to the minute) on Saturday.
The earth and water based sextile is all about working with the real world effectively, and the fiery trine is a source of inspiration and creativity urging us to new heights.
Slowing things down this week is an inconjunct between Mars in Libra and Neptune in Pisces on Thursday. Pay close attention when driving, or risk ending up going the wrong way on a one way street or worse. When the Neptune fog machine is pumping out dense fog, Mars has a hard time seeing where to go. Energy levels tend to bottom out whenever Mars makes a tense aspect to Neptune too.
For most of day on Monday the Gemini Moon does her own thing, encouraging us to reach out to friends and coworkers in a positive manner. Meetings should go well, at least until very late in the day when the Gemini Moon opposes Saturn in Sagittarius. The mood lightens again later in the evening for those who are out and about chatting with friends and neighbors.
The atmosphere is considerably wetter on Tuesday after the Moon glides in Cancer well before dawn and Venus arrives in Scorpio about an hour later. Both Tuesday and Wednesday have a similar feel with the Cancer Moon enjoying favorable aspects to Jupiter in Scorpio, Neptune in Pisces, Pluto in Capricorn and the Scorpio Sun. We’ll get along better with others if we turn on our intuition and draw on our emotional intelligence in order to makes sense of non-verbal communications. Since the Cancer Moon will square Mars in Libra Tuesday night and Uranus in Aries Wednesday night, spending those evenings alone may be best.
Thursday finds the Moon in boisterous Leo, and we could end up with greater mood swings than usual when the Leo Moon squares the Scorpio planets. Best time to schedule meetings on Thursday is early afternoon when the Leo Moon is trine Mercury in Sagittarius. The mood may deteriorate late in the afternoon when she squares Jupiter in Scorpio which can lead to exaggerations and misunderstandings as a result.
Friday morning appears OK but by mid-afternoon when the Leo Moon squares the Scorpio Sun, we could end up arguing again. Tread lightly and agree to disagree if possible. Those willing to let bygones be bygone can still have a good time Friday evening.
We’re in for a quiet Virgo Moon weekend, and those are typically better for working around the home or maybe going back into work to finish up projects set aside earlier in the week. Saturday evening find the Virgo Moon sextile Venus and Jupiter in Scorpio. That bodes well for enjoying an intimate evening with your special person.
Most of the day Sunday the Virgo Moon quietly does her own thing, ending the day on a positive note when she makes a productive trine to Pluto in Capricorn. Good chores to tackle are doing some deep cleaning or going through old belongings and deciding what to throw out.
Whenever the Sun is in a water sign, the energy seems to rise and fall more obviously. This week it surges the second half the week before gradually calming over the weekend. If we choose to work with Scorpio’s natural pragmatism when it comes to problem solving, we’re more likely to make serious progress at this time. Please remember to include more quiet time than usual for personal reflection as well.
