After last week’s Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Leo, we are blessed with a quiet sky for this one. The two weeks between a lunar eclipse and a solar eclipse often have a liminal feel, a time of transition as it were. We only have one sweet aspect, one sour and one planet changing signs this week!
Tuesday finds Venus in Aquarius is sextile Uranus in Aries. This aspect will definitely bring out the urge to be more experimental when it comes to love. We might find ourselves contemplating trying something a little more adventurous than usual. Fire and air folk may find this idea more appealing than earth and water signs. This aspect also gives the creative process a boost and some may make a much needed breakthrough, thanks to a shift in perspective.
The sour note this week is the Aquarius Sun squaring Jupiter in Scorpio at 22° 10′ on Saturday. This could be particularly frustrating for those with personal planets and/or Ascendant from 21° to 23° in the fixed signs (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio and Aquarius). People will tend to take a stand and not budge no matter how compelling the facts are to do otherwise. Another possibility is situations will blow up quickly, fall apart and come back together rapidly in a completely different position . . . somewhat unnerving for most of us. Pragmatic Scorpio often feels Aquarius’s humanitarian efforts are too idealistic, and tend to overlook critical components like who is going to pay the bills.
On Saturday, sweet Venus leaves cool, airy Aquarius for one of her favorite signs . . . Pisces. Venus is exalted in compassionate Pisces who understands the blessings of unconditional love. She may be a tad fuzzy around the edges and not too clear about boundaries but since Venus is so happy in Pisces, we really don’t care. Besides, this means we have Venus in Pisces for Valentine’s Day, wonderful for adding more romance to this special day for lovers.
Calm skies usually mean we notice what the Moon is doing more than usual. This week opens on a pleasant note with the Libra Moon trine her ruler, Venus in Aquarius, Monday morning. She makes an irritating opposition to Uranus in Aries midday before going void-of-course until late evening. If possible, use the morning for meeting and greeting with clients, coworkers or friends. Save projects that can be done alone as well as routine matters for the afternoon.
Tuesday begins with the Scorpio Moon sextile Saturn in Capricorn, excellent for tackling serious projects that require concentration. A late afternoon/early evening square between the Scorpio Moon and Mercury in Aquarius could set us up for sharp words, especially if we’re feeling tired and cranky. Here again the morning is much more favorable for taking care of business.
The middle part of our day on Wednesday is the best for focusing on our work. The day begins with the Aquarius Sun squaring the Scorpio Moon, creating tensions and frustrations. If we can let those go and move on, the rest of the day should go smoothly with harmonious aspects between the Scorpio Moon, Pluto in Capricorn and Jupiter in Scorpio.
Thursday the Moon shifts into optimistic Sagittarius at dawn. She makes no aspects until late Thursday night when she’ll conjoin Mars which gives us an opportunity to simply enjoy the lively, outgoing energy. This is a good day to get outside if you can and stretch your legs. Good energy for moving forward with projects already in the works.
Things could get a little drifty Friday morning when the Sagittarius Moon squares Neptune in Pisces. Thankfully for all those who have important work to finish on Friday, the Moon makes a more constructive sextile to Mercury in Aquarius during the afternoon. Friday evening looks very favorable for playtime, especially for those going to various sporting events.
Saturday is definitely the better day for getting together with friends and doing something adventurous. The Sagittarius Moon will be trine Uranus in Aries during the morning, perfect for making exciting, last minute plans. After that the Moon will be void-of-course until late Saturday evening when she enters somber Capricorn. Shortly thereafter she will be sextile Venus in Pisces which is better for intimate dinners than clubbing.
Sunday morning the Capricorn Moon conjoins sober minded Saturn first thing . . . an aspect far better suited to doing serious tasks instead of playing. Some may choose to head into the office to either get a head start on next week’s workload or finish up things left hanging in the rush to leave on Friday. It is a good day to work around the home too.
Since we have few celestial distractions during the week, perhaps it will be possible to focus on issues brought to the surface by last week’s lunar eclipse, either that or simply go about our daily routines with more ease. Something to note is Venus will be the first personal planet to enter Pisces with the Mercury and the Sun joining her (and Neptune) about a week later. This means we’ll have no planets in air except for the Moon’s weekly visit to an air sign, so breathe deep, air signs, and enjoy the mental buzz while you can! Have a good week, everyone.
