Between the waning Moon and Pisces Season winding to a close, there may be a tinge of melancholy in the air this week. The New Moon in Pisces on Saturday is more about looking back rather than ahead and won’t do much to lighten the mood. One big change is Mars leaving fiery Sagittarius for controlled, forceful Capricorn on Saturday! Tuesday and Saturday are the days the sky is most active this week.
On Tuesday Venus in Aries squares Saturn in Capricorn and the Pisces Sun is trine Jupiter in Scorpio. Having Saturn slow Venus in Aries down is a good thing, keeping her from impulse buys and jumping into questionable relationships. The Sun-Jupiter trine is very calming and can heighten our intuition nicely.
We’ll notice the difference when Mars moves into Capricorn where he is exalted. Mars in Sagittarius can be a loose cannon but in Capricorn he knows exactly what he wants and is willing to work hard to get there. Earthy Capricorn provides Mars with sustained energy and an intuitive sense of what steps are needed to achieve success. People who have a well-aspected Mars in Capricorn are capable of working long and hard in pursuit of their goals.
We’re more aware than usual of the waning Moon this week as we move closer the New Moon in Pisces . It is natural to feel more reflective than usual and turn our attention inward rather than out.
The most productive days this week are Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Monday we have a hard-working Capricorn Moon to keep prodding us into action, at least for the morning. After a contentious Moon-Uranus square, the Capricorn Moon will go void-of-course until late afternoon/early evening. Fortunately Capricorn Moons often retain their effectiveness even when void-of-course.
Tuesday and Wednesday the Moon will be in logical, airy Aquarius. Since this is as much air as we get these days, do take advantage of it. Tuesday the Aquarius Moon enjoys her harmonious aspects to Venus and Mercury in Aries, good for group discussions and doing some serious brainstorming.
Most of the day Wednesday is also favorable for meetings and communications in general. The details may get blown out of proportion late in the day when the Aquarius Moon squares Jupiter in Scorpio. Plans to get together with friends may evolve spontaneously Wednesday evening when the eccentric Aquarius Moon is sextile Uranus in Aries.
Thursday through Saturday midday, the Moon will be in Pisces. We’ll be in the dark of the Moon and our energy levels may run low. It is a good time to look around our lives to see how we can streamline it. We may need to consciously firm up our boundaries during this highly Neptunian period. From the time the Moon enters Pisces before dawn on Thursday until she breaks out into fiery Aries midday on Saturday, the atmosphere will be quite foggy and our ability to concentrate will probably be poor. Do what you can to keep your workload light and stick with simple, routine tasks if possible.
The New Moon in Pisces occurs first thing Saturday morning and the Moon will go void-of-course afterwards. Life will start to come back into focus late morning when Mars enters down to earth Capricorn, and even more sharply when the Moon enters Aries a couple of hours later. Of course the first aspect the Aries Moon makes is an invigorating square to Mars in Capricorn during the afternoon. That will do wonders for waking us up again.
Before daybreak on Sunday, the Aries Moon squares Saturn in Capricorn, serving as a reminder we need to set priorities for the day and prepare to follow them. It is a good day to tackle heavy chores around the home and be physically active in general. Late in the day the Aries Moon conjoins sweet Venus and Mercury, reviving our interest in social activities that involve being active like dancing, playing sports or walking with friends.
Energy levels will be highest the first of the week and at the very end of it. It would be a good idea to get important tasks out the way as early in the week as possible because our ability to stay focused may gradually deteriorate as the week goes on. This is a “house cleaning” week where we need to decide what to keep in our lives and what needs to go out the door. Remember it’s always easier to make a fresh start with a clean slate.
