Week of May 28, 2018

Tuesday is the busy day this week with the Sagittarius Full Moon and Mercury skipping happily into Gemini. There are several really nice aspects this week as well as a couple of awkward ones between the Gemini planets and Saturn in Capricorn. Overall we still have some breathing space again. We might even consider taking some personal time for rest and relaxation.

We’ll get a taste of the Gemini-Capricorn differences on Monday when the Gemini Sun is inconjunct Saturn in Capricorn. Saturn is extra stern these days and less patient with impulsive behaviors, something Gemini is prone to engaging in. Please take a moment before speaking or acting, OK?!

Mercury finally leaving stodgy Taurus for Gemini is a nice change, giving us three planets in air. Mercury in Gemini is great for chatting with friends and lovers as well as absorbing all sorts of interesting tidbits of information floating about. One of the best things about this is finally being able to be more objective in our thinking . . . which makes for better decisions.

Mercury in Gemini will be trine Mars in Aquarius on Friday before running into Saturn in Capricorn on Saturday. The first aspect is great for processing data at top speed. However if we go too fast causing our error rate to tick up, we’ll probably find out about that when Saturn shows up. Best plan is to make sure we’re working with good information as we go in order to avoid serious mistakes.

The Sagittarius Full Moon adds a touch of fire and warmth, something we’ve been missing since Uranus left Aries. There is not quite enough fire and air to balance all the earth and water but enough so we may start to feel more optimistic about the future again.

Friday and Saturday the Grand Trine in water (Venus in Cancer, Jupiter in Scorpio and Neptune in Pisces) will be exact. We first notice the effects of this pattern on the Full Moon in Sagittarius. Venus in Cancer acts as an intermediary for the two outer planets, bringing all the loving, compassionate energy generated by the Jupiter-Neptune trine down to a personal level. Share the love with friends and family.

We still have several long lunar void-of-course periods this week as the Moon travels from Scorpio to Aquarius. Sometimes it’s best to stick with simple, routine tasks rather than taking on new things. When the Moon is void-of-course it can be hard to stay focused and mild aimlessness can set in.

The first half of the day on Monday is fairly energetic under the tenacious Scorpio Moon. The Moon will go void-of-course midday following an opposition to Mercury in Taurus. Working alone may appeal more than being around lots of people. After the Moon enters outgoing Sagittarius late afternoon/early evening, she won’t make any major aspects until after midnight. The mood will lighten up by Monday evening and we may decide to head out with our friends after all.

Tuesday morning is the Sagittarius Full Moon, a good time to take stock of what’s happened in our lives during the lunar cycle to date. There is enough air and fire to help us gain perspective as well as a really loving vibe due to the Grand Trine in Water. Once the Sagittarius Moon squares Neptune in Pisces late Tuesday night, she will be void-of-course over twenty four hours. In other words, on Wednesday we’ll have to get ourselves up and going if we want to get much accomplished.

After the Moon arrives in pragmatic Capricorn before dawn on Thursday, she will start the day trine to Uranus in Taurus and end the day trine Saturn in Capricorn. Thursday has the best workaday vibe this week, great for picking up the slack and getting back on track. Friday is almost as good for taking care of business with the added benefit of the kind, loving energy inspired by harmonious aspects between the Moon, Venus in Cancer and Neptune in Pisces. After the Capricorn Moon goes void-of-course Friday evening, it will be late afternoon/early evening Saturday before she reaches airy Aquarius.

For most the day on Saturday we have a void-of-course Capricorn Moon, far more favorable for catching up on household chores than gallivanting around. However once the Moon enters Aquarius, the tone changes for the rest of the weekend, favoring a lively exchange of ideas.

Sunday the Aquarius Moon conjoins Mars before dawn before going on to make trines to Mercury in Gemini midday and the Gemini Sun in the evening. This is a great day to get together with family and friends for a nice visit. The Grand Trine in Water is still sending out good vibes in addition to the friendly air energy. Enjoy!

Once Mercury shifts into Gemini, our interest in communicating with others revives again. This is a good time to reconnect with family and friends, or reach out to make new friends. By midweek many may experience a renewed sense of optimism, always good for realizing there are more options out there than we may have thought. Gemini Season reminds us how refreshing a change of scene is, and what a difference talking things over with someone we’re close can make. Enjoy feeling the mental gears reengage!
