Full Moon in Capricorn, June 27, 2018

Saturn weighs heavily on us during this Full Moon at 06° 28′ Capricorn on 27 June 2018 09:54 PM PDT because it tightly conjoins the Capricorn Moon. Those who have been playing fast and loose with the rules are likely going to hear about it in no uncertain terms. However if we have been fulfilling our responsibilities in a careful, dedicated manner, we may finally begin to see some return for our efforts.

Adding a nice touch of innovative energy to this lunation is Uranus in Taurus trine the Moon-Saturn conjunction and sextile the Cancer Sun. This is a great combination for coming up with fresh, practical ways to increase productivity in our lives without sacrificing quality of life. It will be interesting to see how the naturally cautious Cancer-Capricorn axis responds to Uranus in Taurus’s need to build something new. One possible result is dramatic improvements in the way used materials are recycled in order to clean up our environment.

Mercury is at the end of its stay in Cancer and squares Uranus in Taurus by the numbers while enjoying the natural harmony between Cancer and Taurus. Enough tension is created to get our attention while still allowing for helpful discussions on sensitive issues, especially those related to home and family matters.

The opposition between Venus in Leo and Mars in Aquarius is history. Mars stationed retrograde at 9° Aquarius the day before this Full Moon and won’t station direct until August 27 at 28° Capricorn. However both Venus and Mars square Jupiter in Scorpio which could set us up for some serious differences in opinion when it comes to love and money. Venus in Leo tends to be extravagant and loves to spend money for personal pleasures. Mars in Aquarius would rather see more invested in causes that support the collective as a whole. Jupiter’s tendency to exaggerate whatever is happening is not going to help in either case. Take time to carefully evaluate your desires and/or your actions before proceeding.

Having all the planets from Jupiter outwards in earth and water signs means they are working together harmoniously even if they aren’t in aspect. That being said, the trine between Saturn in Capricorn and Uranus in Taurus is gradually waxing, while Neptune in Pisces is widely sextile Pluto in Capricorn and still within orb of trine to Jupiter in Scorpio. If we still feel a thread of hope for better outcomes in our lives and the World at large, it may be due to the outer planets dancing together in the deep background.

There is little doubt this is a “eat your vegetables first” Full Moon in Capricorn, even more so than the usual for this Full Moon. For best results, please be gracious about putting in your due diligence rather than grumbling and whining. What we do have is a great opportunity to evaluate what’s going on in our lives and how much progress we’re making towards our goals. Be steadfast about eliminating what isn’t working and then plot a clear path forward. Above all, practice kindness, tolerance and patience.

On a Personal Note:  One of the keys to working with Uranus in Taurus in the sixth house seems to be allowing for more flexibility in my routines. I’m finding it works to write the occasional post as long as I don’t have to meet specific deadlines. 🙂

Note: Timing is averaged for EDT to PDT.
