Full Moon in Virgo, February 19, 2019

After the electric brilliance of the Aquarius New Moon, this Full Moon at 0° 42′ Virgo on 19 February 2019, 7:54 AM PST may seem somewhat work-a-day. That being said there are plenty of people out there who will welcome it with open arms. In fact, we can all use a break to rest and/or catch up with everyday tasks. Earth and water are the dominant elements in this chart with a dash of fire and no air at all. Do keep in mind this lunation marks a big shift from rational Aquarius to emotional Pisces and it may take us a little time to adjust.

Mars in well grounded Taurus provides a steady flow of energy to the luminaries via a trine to the Virgo Moon and a sextile to the Pisces Sun. Mercury ruled Virgo can be a worrywart and Neptune ruled Pisces a tad spacey, things this slow, careful Mars can balance out. This is exceptionally good energy for nurturing ourselves and those we love. We don’t need to make grand gestures either because both Virgo and Pisces appreciate simple expressions of affection.

However, we can’t overlook the frisson of uncertainty Uranus in Aries adds to the otherwise genial energy via out-of-sign aspects to the Sun, Moon and Mars. This is the last lunation with Uranus in Aries because Uranus will have shifted into Taurus by the New Moon in Pisces on March 6. Any disruptions now will probably be due to those folks who feel the need to express their independence in no uncertain terms. This is fine as long as it is done as tactfully as possible to avoid hurting other people’s feelings . . . always important to remember during Pisces Season.

The really wonderful aspect occurring on this Full Moon involves the Venus-Saturn conjunction in Capricorn sextile the Mercury-Neptune conjunction in Pisces. This is a terrific setup for manifesting our dreams in the real world since Capricorn is surprisingly good at gently grounding Pisces. Do things like volunteer for an organization or business you are interested in working for in order to find out if it is a good fit. Or talk to people who are successful in their chosen profession and discover what it took for them to get to achieve their success. Chances are good they will tell you it took plenty of hard work as well as endless hours of honing their particular skill set. 🙂

Jupiter in Sagittarius is semi-sextile both Venus and Pluto in Capricorn. The Sagittarius-Capricorn dilemma typically boils down to Capricorn reining in what it feels to be Sagittarius over-reach. To put it another way, Capricorn is the ultimate fact checker for Sagittarius who tends to exaggerate in order to make a point. Rather than feeling like the powers that be are always shooting down your brilliant theories, prepare ahead of time by making sure you are working with accurate data in the first place.

All in all, this Full Moon in Virgo is a winner! We can explore healthy options in all areas of our life from our workplace to our home life, figure out how to turn our dreams into reality step by step and focus on learning how to enjoy the small beauties in our everyday lives. Remember to express love, kindness and compassion in little ways, each and every day. Have a blessed Full Moon!
