Full Moon in Aries, October 13, 2019

The burst of fiery energy on the Full Moon at 20° 14′ Aries on 13 October 2019, 05:08 PM PDT, courtesy of aspects to Jupiter in Sagittarius, probably won’t be all that long lived . . . there are too many earth and water forces working against it. The Cardinal T-Square formed by the Libra Sun and Aries Moon squaring formidable Pluto in Capricorn adds a great deal of tension too.

The cardinal T-Square with Pluto and the luminaries is a tough one. It’s not like we aren’t familiar with this energy either but it doesn’t seem to get any easier to live with. In my opinion, the best response to any type of Pluto transit is to strive for inner neutrality because Pluto is an expert at identifying and using our fears and desires to control us. Setting clear boundaries and assiduously minding our business will also help. Those folks who have personal planets and/or Ascendant from 19° to 21° in the cardinal signs (Aries, Cancer, Libra and Capricorn) are going to notice the effects of the T-Square the most. This is particularly true for those placements in Cancer.

The expression “two’s company, three’s a crowd” applies to a configuration featuring Venus in Scorpio opposing Uranus in Taurus with Mars in Libra forming awkward aspects to both. Whatever Venus and Uranus have going on will be an intensely private matter and they won’t welcome interruptions, well intentioned or not. Normally tactful Mars in Libra can’t seem to do the right thing in relationships no matter how sincere his actions are. This qualifies as one of those situations when it’s better to sit back and wait it out. Take a ‘time out’ for now.

Yes, there is a bright spot in this chart! Mercury in Scorpio is in an excellent place, making a waxing trine to imaginative Neptune in Pisces as well as a waxing sextile to Saturn in Capricorn. This is the perfect scenario for coming up with creative yet sensible solutions to our problems. Those people with personal planets and/or Ascendant from 13° to 16° in Cancer will benefit the most.

The wonderful sextile between Saturn in Capricorn and Neptune in Pisces is still waxing at this time though it will start to wane mid-November. The blend of creative compassion with rock solid practicality has been a real blessing for everyone, especially for those hit hard by the now waning Jupiter-Neptune square. This has been the Universe’s way of giving us a path to follow to better things if we choose to see it.

Charging ahead on this Full Moon in Aries, as desirable as that seems, may not work out that well. A better choice, in my opinion, would be minding our own business and encouraging others to do the same. Controlling types are just waiting for some poor sap to make a wrong move. Be kind, tactful but firm when choosing to stand your ground. As always, practicing patience and tolerance is the way to go. Be well and stay safe!

Note: Timing is averaged for EDT to PDT.
