The three planets in fire and air stand firmly together on the New Moon at 04° 12′ Aries on 24 March 2020, 02:29 AM PDT. The Aries Sun and Moon are sextile Saturn in Aquarius, giving us a taste of how Saturn will be working in Aquarius. In this instance, Saturn gently holds the Aries Sun and Moon in check without stomping on Aries independence and initiative. This is a wonderful influence for figuring out how to move forward and maintain our sense of independence whilst working within external limitations.
Best not to overlook Uranus in Taurus sitting semi-sextile to the Aries luminaries! It can exacerbate the Aries need to take impulsive actions, just when that’s the last thing we need to do. Please consider taking time to think things over before making a move.
F.Y.I. Saturn in Aquarius is widely square Uranus in Taurus though this won’t be exact for another year. However, those who have personal planets and/or Ascendant between 0° to 4° in the fixed signs (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio and Aquarius), may be feeling the effects already. Fixed signs are not known for their ability to seek compromises but there is no better time to learn how or else risk missing wonderful opportunities for improving quality of life.
Mercury is briskly moving through Pisces now and makes a waning sextile to Uranus in Taurus on this lunation. We can gain the most benefit from exercising our emotional intelligence to come up with new and better ideas to improve our lives. After all, logic is not really Mercury in Pisces’s thing. 😀
Aries’s ruler, Mars, conjoins Jupiter and Pluto in Capricorn, a potent blend indeed. How we choose to direct this energy will require forethought and solid planning. This is not the time to make rash decisions on the fly. The Capricorn stellium is widely trine Venus in Taurus, good for making smart choices regarding our values and financial decisions. Hopefully Venus can also soften this Capricorn stellium’s urge to impose its demands with unnecessary force. The ‘my way or the highway’ vibe is strong now.
Another influence that may help keep the Capricorn stellium in check is Neptune in Pisces. Neptune is still sextile to Jupiter as well as tightly sextile to Venus in Taurus. Reviewing confrontational issues using our emotional intelligence may give us the necessary insights to avoid inflicting unintentional harm to the most vulnerable in our society.
We have more of a controlled burn rather than a raging fire on this New Moon in Aries. Earth and water still dominate the sky so a smoldering Aries fire blends far better than usual with the more pragmatic elements. While it isn’t very bright yet, there is light at the end of the tunnel and we can use the forward looking energy of this New Moon to start plotting a course in order to reach the light.
