Full Moon in Libra, April 7, 2020

Balance is restored on this Full Moon at 18° 44′ Libra on 7 April 2020, 07:35 PM PDT. The elements are evenly divided between fire/air and earth/water, quite appropriate for a Libra Full Moon. We still need to be careful though because the closest aspects to the luminaries involve Neptune in Pisces. Neptune is semi-sextile the Aries Sun and inconjunct the Libra Moon, creating a subtle sense of cognitive dissonance. Be careful about making assumptions!

A more upbeat aspect is the close trine between Aries and Libra’s ruling planets. Venus in Gemini is trine Mars in Aquarius, with Saturn in Aquarius anchoring both planets. This is great for taking a look at our one-on-one relationships or partnerships, both business and personal. We gain enough perspective to see where improvements can be made without damaging the relationship.

Mars in Aquarius has another little problem . . . he is closely square Uranus in Taurus. Mars-Uranus aspects sorely test impulse control and people often make sudden, rash moves which can cause accidents. The obvious solution is to deliberately slow down and take time to think things through before leaping into the fire. Those who have personal planets and/or Ascendant from 4° to 6° in the fixed signs (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio and Aquarius) will feel the greatest pressure.

On a more peaceful note, Mercury is nearing the end of its stay in Pisces (it shifts into Aries on 10-11 April). A flowing sextile to Jupiter and Pluto in Capricorn is perfect for making intuitive leaps and seeing a steady flow of information surfacing from deep within our minds. It is also sextile Pallas in Capricorn, adding the ability to perceive patterns within that information. Be aware once Mercury blasts into fiery Aries, contemplation time will be over and the focus will be very future oriented.

As some may have noticed, I prefer to use small orbs, especially for the outer planets. Nonetheless, it is worth touching on Jupiter and Pluto in Capricorn forming a very wide T-Square with the Aries Sun and Libra Moon. This cardinal T-Square asks us to take action. If we combine Aries ‘can do’ attitude with Libra’s desire for fairness to balance the Jupiter-Pluto in Capricorn’s need for control, it might be possible to find win-win solutions to our existing dilemmas. Just saying.

Since the Full Moon is in Libra, it would be good to honor those qualities Libra loves. Justice and fairness for all with a liberal dose of compromise to make it happen. This is a good time to brush up on our listening skills in order to really hear both sides of the issues presented. Libra also prefers to carefully weigh the information before making an informed decision. Now is definitely not the time to rush to judgment! Take care, stay safe and continue to practice patience and kindness.

Note: Timing is averaged for EDT to PDT.
