Staying tethered to reality is going to be a major challenge on the New Moon at 02° 05′ Gemini, 22 May 2020, 10:39 AM PDT. The luminaries themselves benefit from a trine to Saturn in Aquarius which will hopefully keep them from sliding too far off course. However, they are also square to slippery Mars in Neptune ruled Pisces, who is not noted for being direct under the best of circumstances. This situation brings the duality of Gemini to our attention with Gemini’s ability to gather and disseminate good information on one side, and on the other, it’s gift for telling half-truths and outright lies in a believable manner. The resulting confusion is pure Neptune.
The real source of misinformation is Mercury-Venus conjoined in Gemini exactly square Neptune in Pisces. Usually a Mercury-Venus conjunction in verbal Gemini would be wonderful for articulating our feelings but not this time. Declarations of love can range from way over the top to completely incomprehensible. Forget making smart decisions about money! If at all possible hold off on those for now, and if not, then check and double check the facts. Scam artists are probably going to be out in full force and drowning us in a deluge of words, all sounding wonderful but very short on real meaning.
Mars in Pisces is in much the same position as the luminaries since he has both flowing and tense aspects to contend with. A sextile to Uranus in Taurus is perfect for finding innovative ways to get from point A to point B, whilst the square to the Sun and Moon in Gemini only adds to the lack of direction. The best chance we have to make sense of things is to use our emotional intelligence and intuition rather than logic and reason. We could get hit with so many conflicting stories our minds will want to shut down due to info overload.
Jupiter and Pluto in Capricorn are essentially on the sidelines for now, at least on the surface of things. Waxing inconjuncts to Mercury in Gemini will come into play in a few days, revealing hidden information bound to cause plenty of pain to those who bought into the delusions generated by Neptune and company.
At first glance it might seem like happy days on here again on this New Moon in Gemini. It’s OK to enjoy the feeling as long as we hold firm to the realization this is more fantasy than reality. Besides, it won’t be long before the fantasy begins to crumble around the edges as Gemini’s ruler, Mercury, is inconjunct first Pluto, then Jupiter in Capricorn. The inconjunct to Pluto takes place May 24 and the one to Jupiter on May 26. Since stern Saturn ruled Capricorn has no patience for foolishness and Pluto is noted for unearthing unpalatable facts, all it will take is Jupiter’s inclination to speak up forcefully to start clearing Neptune’s fog away. Nonetheless, the denial habit is very hard to break and many will cling to their fantasies until the bitter end. Sigh. As always practice patience and treat everyone in our lives with kindness and tolerance.
