Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Sagittarius, June 5, 2020

There is a great deal of anger floating around in the atmosphere on this Full Moon Lunar Eclipse at 15° 34′ Sagittarius 5 June 2020, 12:16 PM PDT. The source is Mars in Pisces squaring the Gemini Sun-Venus and Sagittarius Moon whilst conjoining Neptune in Pisces. Both the source of our anger and its target seem to be in a constant state of flux, not an easy thing to live with! The desire to retreat into denial is strong, in part because the Gemini Sun-Venus conjunction would prefer to avoid unpleasantness if at all possible.

Mars-Neptune aspects can be extremely enervating as well, so many of us may need to get more rest than usual. It is OK to take more frequent breaks or choose to postpone complicated tasks for the time being. Once Mars leaves Pisces for fiery Aries on June 27, energy levels will improve along with the ability to take direct action. Mars is always more effective in the cardinal signs and he loves being in fiery Aries.

Any hope we have of sorting out fact from fiction now may depend on how well we can tune into the Mercury in Cancer-Uranus in Taurus sextile. In order to do this, we’ll need to use our Emotional IQ along with finding our quiet center. At this time it feels like we’re being bombarded with a kaleidoscope of information that morphs into something different moment to moment. One way we can quiet our minds is to engage in repetitive physical activities such as walking, doing yoga, tai chi or gardening. Mercury in Cancer urges us to do these in a familiar, safe environment. Information we need can float to the surface, giving us an “ah ha” moment.

It’s just as well the other three outer planets – Saturn in Aquarius and the Jupiter-Pluto conjunction in Capricorn – are not actively involved on this lunation. The exception being those who have personal planets and/or Ascendant those planets are transiting. Since they all move very slowly said transits have been in effect for some time already. The Jupiter-Pluto conjunction is waxing and will be exact for the second time at 24° Capricorn on June 29-30.

This is Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Sagittarius is one we may want to relax and ride out rather than giving in to our inner Don Quixote and expending needless energy tilting at windmills. The fog bank isn’t going to lift until after the Gemini Sun squares Neptune in Pisces (June 11) and Mars conjoins Neptune (June 13). Maintaining good boundaries is going to take more effort than usual but those are necessary for our overall health and well being. We can still find effective ways to support worthy causes and people whilst not running ourselves into the ground in the process. Practice patience, tolerance and always be kind to yourself and others. Peace and love to all.

Note: Timing is averaged for EDT to PDT.
