What a difference a lunar month can make! The New Moon in Aquarius was dominated by fixed signs and a “my way or the highway” vibe. This flowing New Moon at 23° 04′ Pisces on 13 March 2021, 02;22 AM PST is almost the complete opposite. Mutable signs have edged out fixed, water signs are back in force and sweet, dreamy Pisces is center stage. Pisces does going from the ridiculous to the sublime better than anyone else.
At the heart of this New Moon is a stellium in Pisces which includes the Sun, Moon, Venus and Neptune in Pisces. Naturally those with a strong Pisces element in their charts are going to feel this the most but all water sign folk and those who have planets in their twelfth house will too. Pluto in Capricorn is sextile the luminaries, offering an opportunity to go deeper into the healing experience. We can also choose to lose ourselves for awhile in dreamland, thanks to Venus conjoining Neptune. Because it is Pisces and there are no hard aspects involved, we won’t feel compelled to do anything on this New Moon. After the demanding energy of cardinal Capricorn and the hard edged intensity of fixed Aquarius, this easy going, fluid, mutable Pisces New Moon is exactly what’s needed to unwind and relax.
On the whole the air planets are effectively sidelined on this New Moon. The only exception is a waxing trine between Mars in Gemini and Saturn in Aquarius. This is a great combination for figuring out how to turn our bright ideas into actions. Saturn slows down this busy, busy Mars enough to get him lined out and going one way instead of six different ones.
Mercury in Aquarius is semi-sextile Pluto in Capricorn as well as the Sun and Moon in Pisces, while Jupiter in Aquarius is semi-sextile Venus and Neptune in Pisces. The Pisces planets diffuse the usually clear, detached Aquarius energy which greatly reduces its effectiveness. It’s time to re-attune ourselves to our intuition and follow that rather than depending on logic and reason.
Of course, Saturn in Aquarius is still closely square Uranus in Taurus and will be for quite some time. We need to continue to work on adapting to the new “normal” and being open to finding new and different ways to live a good life.
The best way to experience this wonderful New Moon in Pisces is to embrace relaxing, peaceful activities in order to reduce stress in our lives. Walking along the ocean is a fantastic way to celebrate the Pisces spirit but since most of us can’t do that, choosing simple pleasures like taking a soothing bath or using shower time to cleanse our auras as well as our bodies are good. Many of us can benefit from spending time alone in quiet contemplation in order to realign with our spiritual purpose. And there is no better time to practice kindness, tolerance and patience each and every day. Peace and love to all.
