After the two eventful eclipses, this plain old garden variety Full Moon at 03° 28′ Capricorn on 24 June 2021, 11:40 AM PDT is going to be very easy to live with. The Cancer Sun and Capricorn Moon both harmoniously aspect Jupiter in Pisces, further easing tensions and giving us a renewed sense of optimism. Water and earth dominate the Full Moon chart though all the elements are represented. Even though Neptune in Pisces is at a standstill preparing to station retrograde at 23° 12′ on June 25, Mercury in Gemini is now direct and inching its way back up to speed. All of this makes taking a moment to simply be present possible.
The dance between the planets in water and earth is very noticeable on this lunation. Not only are the Cancer Sun, Cancer Moon and Jupiter in Pisces moving in harmony but Venus in Cancer, Pluto in Capricorn and Neptune in Pisces are doing the same dance. Just as Jupiter in Pisces helps the luminaries cooperate, Neptune in Pisces does the same for the Venus-Pluto opposition. We have an opportunity to connect with our family roots again, or perhaps open the door to family discussions about sensitive matters that need to be aired so healing can take place. Security issues of all stripes are highlighted in a positive way, enabling us to make personal adjustments that allow us to feel better, improving our sense of self worth.
Mercury in Gemini is now direct and poised to leave its station degree. At this point it is still widely trine Saturn in Aquarius which is wonderful for working on sorting all the really weird information we’ve been dealing with the past few weeks.
The tougher issues may stem from Mars in Leo closing in on an opposition to Saturn in Aquarius and a square to Uranus in Taurus. Yup . . . the infamous Saturn-Uranus square that’s still well within orb and demanding our attention. The challenge arising now has to do with people reacting in anger and throwing temper tantrums rather than stepping back to take another look at the big picture. Mars in Leo has a long fuse but once it blows the resulting damage may take years to be repaired, if they even can. Fixed signs are not noted for forgiving and forgetting. We need to work on agreeing to disagree in order to prevent serious breaks with others.
One of the best things about this Full Moon in earthy Capricorn is the sweet mix of down to earth practicality and delicate sensitivity to nuance. The Cancer-Capricorn planets benefit from Jupiter and Neptune in Pisces expanding their often narrow world view to one that is more inclusive. There is no better time to learn patience, tolerance and the importance of being kind. Peace and love to all.
