There is an interesting twist to this Full Moon at 28° 00’ Leo on 16 February 2022, 08:57 AM PST. Underneath the usual Leo warmth and enthusiasm, there is the sense we need to attend to our responsibilities or risk karmic consequences. Where this feeling comes from is the Moon’s Nodes creating a fixed Grand Cross with the Leo Moon and Aquarius Sun as well as Pluto in Capricorn aspecting all of the above.
Pluto in Capricorn is tightly trine the North Node in Taurus and sextile the South Node in Scorpio, effectively combining forces against the luminaries. It is really quite simple. We can have a wonderful time celebrating the playful, loving Full Moon in Leo as long as we respect the rules designed to keep our societies functioning safely such as not driving drunk or ignoring other people’s boundaries. It is time to make restoring civility a priority.
All things concerning love and money continue to be serious business due to the Venus-Mars conjunction in Capricorn. On this Full Moon, this long lasting conjunction is semi-sextile Saturn in Aquarius which further emphasizes the need for being conscientious, dependable and consistent with our loved ones. For those looking into making a major financial commitment such as buying a home, it is critical to do as much research as possible before signing. The presence of Saturn hints at instant karma for those who take too many short cuts.
There is a huge blessing on this Full Moon in Leo and that is Jupiter in Pisces sextile Uranus in Taurus! Look for opportunities to pop up out of nowhere that can do wonderful things for improving our lives in very real ways. Jupiter in Pisces is naturally optimistic and generous, while Uranus in Taurus is a unique mix of eccentricity and Taurus common sense. Enjoy this odd but delightful combination while it lasts.
Then we have two planets who are essentially sitting this lunation out: Mercury in Aquarius and Neptune in Pisces.
Mercury finally made it back to Aquarius on Monday and will help broaden our outlook again. It will be possible to start thinking beyond what we need to survive each day once more. Mercury in detached, rational Aquarius is also excellent for sorting out good information from complete nonsense.
Neptune in Pisces will come back into play again when Venus and Mars in Capricorn come within orb around the time the Sun slips into Pisces next weekend. When Venus and Mars are sextile Neptune, our hearts will become more open and compassionate . . . a very much needed change. This influence has the potential to do marvelous things for our love life.
It is highly likely most folks will have a great time celebrating the Full Moon in Leo with flair and cheerful drama. Nonetheless it would behoove us to exercise common sense when we head out to party, like choosing a designated driver, etc. Our creativity might reawaken and new, fresh ideas for artistic projects of all types may spring into our minds. Make sure to smile as well as practicing being kind, patient and loving. Spread that Leo love around! Peace and love to all.
