New Moon in Libra, September 25, 2022

It looks like we’ll be learning about how to bring balance back into our lives on the New Moon at 02° 49’ Libra on 25 September 2022, 02:55 PM PDT. There are two important oppositions on this lunation, one featuring the luminaries in Libra opposing Jupiter in Aries and the other is a Mercury-Venus conjunction in Virgo opposing Neptune in Pisces. The good thing about both these oppositions is they are in signs that are more inclined to work together than fight it out. These oppositions do give this New Moon a Full Moon feel too.

The opposition with the Libra luminaries opposing Jupiter in Aries benefits from Libra’s mediating skills and Jupiter’s generous spirit. We may need to set clear guidelines before getting into the serious stage of any negotiations in order to achieve an equitable outcome. Being straightforward and honest in our intentions is also critical. Since Jupiter in Aries does love to be seen as a knight in shining armor, it might work to appeal to this image during negotiations.

There is an interesting third party involved in the Virgo-Pisces opposition. Pluto in Capricorn is trine both Venus in Virgo and retrograde Mercury in Virgo. If our goal is to come up with a solution that favors the greater good of all concerned and we are scrupulously honest, Pluto is more likely to be supportive rather than disruptive. If nothing else, Pluto can help keep Neptune in Pisces on track. Those who seek to deceive in order to line their own pockets could find themselves being smacked down very firmly. The combination of Mercury, Venus and Neptune in Virgo and Pisces can sometimes be seduced by sob stories but with Pluto in Capricorn acting as their guardian that is not likely to happen.

Mars in Gemini is in a unique position. It is trine Saturn in Aquarius and semi-sextile Uranus in Taurus. In other words, Mars is in a position to impact the final almost exact square between Saturn in Aquarius and Uranus in Taurus. A well thought out plan of action (Mars-Saturn trine in air) stands the best chance of riding out any weird, unexpected wrenches thrown in the works courtesy of Uranus. Mars in mutable Gemini is very good at making last minute adjustments, something the other two planets in fixed signs have a hard time with.

Don’t get in too big a hurry on this New Moon in Libra. Mercury is still retrograde and the Saturn in Aquarius-Uranus in Taurus square is weighing on us too. What this New Moon is very good for is brain storming to come up with new and better ideas. The Mercury-Venus conjunction in Virgo is excellent for carefully sorting through those ideas and verifying their potential. Venus encourages Mercury in Virgo to be more tactful when doing critiques too. We have time to work up clear, concise proposals for future projects, so there is no need to rush things. Remember to practice active listening because good partnerships are based on mutual respect and understanding, something which requires really hearing what your partner is saying. Needless to say, we’re going need plenty of patience in the days ahead along with continuing to practice kindness and tolerance. Peace and love to all.
