Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Aquarius, July 27, 2018

This Full Moon Lunar Eclipse at 04° 54′ Aquarius on 27 July 2018, 01:21 PM PDT has a real bite to it! The luminaries are part of a Fixed T-Square with Uranus in Taurus and retrograde Mars in Aquarius. Reactive, short tempered and unpredictable are all ways to describe the atmosphere on this lunation. We need to channel our inner zen master if we don’t want to leave endless chaos in our wake.

Fixed signs dominate this lunation chart and that can make it difficult to see the different options available to us. We tend to choose one path and stick to it, even though it might not be the best choice for us. Retrograde Mercury in Leo only intensifies the tendency to get stuck in a mental rut, and since the only aspect it makes is a wide inconjunct to Pluto in hardnosed Capricorn, we’ll need to be extra careful about keeping an open mind.

Keeping us relatively sane are a couple of great trines in earth signs: Venus in Virgo is exactly trine Pluto in Capricorn and Saturn in Capricorn is trine Uranus in Taurus. Both exude common sense, and will help us stay calm, cool and collected. The Venus-Pluto trine is particularly good for accurately assessing true value, whether we looking at real property, an investment option or a new love interest. Saturn and Uranus working together in practical earth is a huge blessing for discovering new and exciting solutions to our toughest problems. The drawback to trines is they don’t reach out and whack us on the head to get our attention . . . we have to take a pro-active approach in order to access those energies.

The other lovely, uplifting influence is the trine between Jupiter in Scorpio and Neptune in Pisces. If we can focus on being patient, compassionate and finding ways to serve the greater good, this is the perfect energy to draw on to make that happen.

On this Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Aquarius, we need to remember the stars do not compel us to do anything. We can choose to respond kindly rather than react belligerently. The Leo contingent does love a good dramatic scene but now is not a good time to indulge in those either. It is the calm, matter of fact earth energy that offers the sanest guidance now. We can honor the Aquarius Full Moon by asking what we can do in support of our chosen group or collective as well as taking a good, long look at the big picture, Aquarius’s specialty. Peace to all.

Note: Timing is averaged for EDT to PDT.
